Meadowmont Lodge in Arnold was truly an amazing place to stay we honestly couldn’t have chosen a better spot. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. The woman at the front desk greeted us right away with such genuine kindness and warmth. She was incredibly sweet, helpful, and attentive throughout our entire stay. My kids absolutely loved stopping by to talk with her — she made them feel so special and at home. Our room was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully set up with everything we needed. It had that perfect mountain-lodge charm while still being comfortable and practical for a family stay. You can tell they really care about keeping the property well maintained. One of our favorite parts was the outdoor space. They offer complimentary hot cocoa, which was such a nice touch, especially in the chilly weather. They also have s’mores packs available for a small fee and open fire pits in the back for guests to enjoy. Sitting around the fire roasting marshmallows with my kids was such a special memory, it made the whole experience feel magical and so homey. The entire atmosphere felt warm, relaxed, and family-friendly. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable the minute you walk in. We will definitely be coming back on our next visit to Arnold. Highly recommend Meadowmont Lodge to anyone looking for a cozy, welcoming getaway!

The exterior of the motel looks dated - like 1968. The room was clean and contained a queen sized bed (comfy), a small refrigerator, and microwave, it’s no frills, but clean and comfortable. We would come back.

The meadowmont motel was great! Well located, updated, and very clean. Even warmed our room up in advance and allowed our pooch which was nice. Book i. advance since it seems to be in high demand.

This property is very close to Calaveras Big Trees State Park and that is why we stayed here. It was very clean, and the woman checking us in was friendly. We stayed two nights. We ate across the street at a brewery the first night and at an Italian restaurant the second night. The Italian restaurant, Sarafina's, was excellent.

Meadowmont Lodge Arnold- a great secret

Enjoyed a quick getaway and tried Meadowmont Lodge since they were Dog Friendly and close to restaurants. What a lovely surprise- such a nice Manager, clean and pretty property, very clean room and amazingly comfortable bed (and nice bedding). They had a nice firepit and we roadted smores - they had little kits. We will definitely stay there again.

Clean and well-kept place with modern upgrades

The property is very clean and well maintained. Has solar power for the summer months. The wood looring instead of carpet is very big plus for us as it gives a clean look. The attendant is friendly and does amazing work keeping it clean and providing very helpful tips on the local events and weather conditions. Will visit again.

I can’t really rate the staff because the front desk was closed when we arrived. The front desk person was sick and we didn’t have interaction with her. This property was very clean and neat. It’s close to Big Trees and there are several restaurants in the area. I would recommend this property .

Need earplugs if you want sleep

You NEED earplugs if you stay here. Thin walls and you can hear everyone. Group of people were still drinking/partying past 1:30am and you can hear it all. Its suffices for a stay in Arnold. Great service and super friendly. Just advise bringing earplugs if you want to sleep.
