"If you are looking for a more secluded stay this is the place. It is about an hour from the city but the drive is worth it. The view was gorgeous and very serene. The pool was very clean and well maintained daily. The only have 5 cabins to stay in so you don't have to worry about it being super crowded. All of the staff were absolutely wonderful. The were extremely helpful and also had the option to book tours for you there onsite. It is an Eco Log so they prioritize being environmental...

10/10 Excellent

"Our room is Spacious and clean, there was a plumbing issues but solved quickly, all the staffs from front desks, tours, housekeeping, restaurants, security, landscaping, and spa SERVED professionally with a SMILE. They generously accommodated us for a quick change of our drop off for the airport departure time with a breakfast meal to go. They exceed my expectations! Spa Experience can be improved. Since it is out of the way from downtown Puerto Princesa, and if you are planning to have a day tour, make sure to asks if the tour is going to happened. OVERALL, I will Recommend Astoria Palawan from food, accommodation and communications!"

Deep Forest Garden Hotel

"Our family of five, including three teenage children, spent nine wonderful days at Deep Forest Garden Hotel, and it was an excellent home base for our vacation. The property has a unique charm, the accommodations were very comfortable, and the staff consistently delivered warm, attentive service that made us feel genuinely welcome. The pool was a standout feature—beautiful, refreshing, and a place where our family spent time relaxing. There were a few areas where the experience fell short of expectations. The Wi-Fi was consistently slow, so we relied primarily on our eSIM data throughout our stay. Additionally, while the hotel promotes nearby beach access, the closest option, Pristine Beach, did not meet our expectations. If you're looking for a traditional beach experience, you'll likely want to plan excursions elsewhere. The hot tub was also disappointing, as it was the same temperature as the pool rather than being heated. Those shortcomings were noticeable because the beach access and hot tub were key factors in our decision to book the property. Even so, the hotel's character, welcoming atmosphere, outstanding staff, and overall comfort more than made up for them. We had a fantastic vacation and would gladly consider staying here again."
