"To avoid disappointment there's a few things to note. First, Estes Park is very expensive, so there is nothing that would be good value anywhere else. Second, many properties, especially centrally, are older. Third when there's only a few months to make a whole year's revenue, I'm guessing there's not enough money to update much. Having said all that, on a recent trip this hotel was the most disappointing. I knew Estes was expensive but decided to pay a little more to be within an easy walk of town - but I obviously didn't pay enough. The least expensive rooms here turned out to be above the office, where the complimentary popcorn has had years to scent the room. It also directly overlooks the highway, not bad in May but would be later on (not all the rooms have this problem). The building and room were very tired, and even when newly done wouldn't have been great. And while I was imagining the nice river walk into town, the short walk it is is along the highway or through a parking lot. On the plus side, what was there was very clean, and the staff were great. Advice? 1. Only rent the rooms directly backing onto the river - if it doesn't say it's got a balcony or patio right on the river, probably go elsewhere. If it's one of the rooms over the office, definitely go elsewhere. 2. If you want a nice river walk into town, you need to be on the other side of the river. Yes it'll cost more. But they're also much newer. 3. Skip Estes Park. It's just very expensive."

"From the start everyone was so friendly and the s'mores amenity definitely added that special touch to our stay. Our kiddos absolutely loved the fire pit and the swimming pool."

"Lobby staff were excellent. Rooms were clean and spacious. Wildlife roamed the area, which was a real treat. Very convenient to east entrances to Rocky Mountain National park. Housekeeping did not come by every day. Parking lot needs work."

"The manager and his staff were very helpful. There was a great view of the mountains from our room. We particularly enjoyed the warm dishes of eggs, biscuits, and gravy in the complimentary breakfast in a nice room with lots of large windows. Would return again."

"Historical property dated and seems like they were surviving on their legacy not on service, granted there property is torn up by a construction project. Room we were assigned had scaffolding blocking view from both windows and construction equipment breaking up the bed rock right outside. We were assigned a different room. It’s outrageous that they would even rent that room even to Expedia discontinued customers. Also room have portable free standing AC units which are vented by flexible conduit through a piece of plywood wedged into a partially open window. I could go on and on. Huge disappointment on many levels. Don’t stay here."
