Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean. However no hot water for 4days 3 nights was awful. It was the only hotel in town so I couldn’t go elsewhere. One night was understandable but not 3.

Mother daughter getaway

We attended the two day Fall Festival at Bakers Creek Seed Company in Mansfield. This hotel is a very nice place and quiet. Staff was very friendly. We have no complaints.

The only complaint is that they have no extra pillows to provide, if needed. Breakfast was very minimal. The staff was very friendly and the motel was clean. We would stay again.

Stay was great but the door was broken as we arrived. It was fixed while we went ahead and stayed in the room and waited for family to pick us up. They were very nice staff who offered to go out and grab us anything we needed while we waited on the repair.

I am not sure why there are so many negative reviews. I have stayed in many hotels and motels across North America and in other countries and had no issues at this location and I can be quite picky. The building is clean and comfortable, and the staff are friendly. They have pet-friendly rooms with ample amount of outdoor space for dogs to run around. The breakfast bar and coffee were a nice extra feature.

The place was not too bad, kinda small and no hot breakfast, however our room did Not have a microwave and when i called the desk i got nowhere and was told i could use the one downstairs inwhich there is no elevator, i wouldn't complain about the stairs if my spine and back werent in the shape they are. The beds are small so if there are 2 of ya mite wanna upgrade your room. On a good note they are pet friendly and a gas station is within walking distance. Staff was friendly

The employees were great. The room now the bathroom could use some work. It looked like the caulk around the tub was getting molding. And there was even white tape on one of the tub racks. Beds were really hard.And our view was just busses and an empty field. But, all an all a good experience.

The amenities list daily housekeeping but we found out when returning for the day this does not include making the bed. This is not earth shattering but was surprising. We relayed this to the desk clerk, she was not interested, and a manager is not available. Otherwise the beds and pillows were comfortable. Rooms could be updated.

Any property without an elevator is difficult for me. I was not able to reserve a handicap room, or even one on the first floor, even though my reservation was 3 months in advance. It is really the only hotel in the area. It was fine. I made the stairs. The beds were comfortable enough and everything was reasonably clean but dated. It served it's purpose, and I will try again next year to get one of the coveted 1st floor rooms. Breakfast is bread, packaged muffins and cereal in the wheel type dispenser. I almost always find cereal that way very stale, and much prefer the little boxes.

The room itself wasn't bad, though it did have a few problems. 1, the lamp by the bed didn't work. Some connection issue with the knob that turns it on. 2, there's a tapping in the overhead vent above the toilet. Not sure what it was, but you could hear it throughout the night in room 217. No noisy neighbors, at least from where we were staying. One problem i had, was when I checked in, you're forced to give your credit card under the description by the cashier "Just in case you steal something". I don't know if that hotel has a lot of theft going on but I'd like to not be considered as a thief right as i walk through the door from a 7 hour drive. Never ran into the cleaning crew but they respected us in not going into our room when we requested. Breakfast is very small. You get coffee, milk, cereal, sweets, yogurt, and toast so no hot food. There's a few fast food joints nearby in Ava, so you can run and grab some hot food on the daily. Gas station right beside the hotel as well.

First, the pillows were AMAZING!!! I thought about swiping one, they were that comfortable. But beware, Ava is a bit of a dead spot for cell service. That's fine, beyond the Super 8's control, but was in their control was the wifi which simply did not work. We were given the login info, but the wifi network would sporadically disappear from the list of provided networks, sometimes asking for a password, which didn't work, then connecting for a minute or two without a password before disappearing again. When i asked the clerk for help and suggested she reset the router, she just said it was always like that, and there was nothing she could do. We needed it for navigation and to finalize plans for the next day or it wouldn't have been a big deal but it would have been nice to know we would have no connection at the motel (going into town we were able to find a signal and connection that worked luckily).
