We knew that Barneveld was devastated by a tornado in 1984 & we thought there’d be a museum. There was not, but was told that the library had many articles /stories about that terrible event.

Stayed for one night when it was -30 below. Check in was great, got an extra pillow no problem and some tea in the lobby. No weird smells in lobby or room. Minor issues knocked it down a bit. We drove to Mt. Horeb and ate at the Grumpy Troll. Great area. Lot's of fun. My 6 year old grandson is still talking about the Cave of the Mounds. Great trip.
