This guest (girlfriend) made a reservation through Expedia and was told that we were a pet friendly hotel. WE ARE NOT PET FRIENDLY!!!! After the initial reservation was over guest (gentleman) tried to extend and realized that he had to make a new reservation for the last days stay. I was called at home at 7:30am and advised that there was a dog on the property, I advised my staff to charge the pet deposit because we are not pet friendly. My staff called me back and said that the guest refused to pay the pet deposit, so I called the guest to apologize and see if I could get to the bottom of the issue. The (gentleman) who was not even on the reservation cussed at me saying that he spoke to Ella or Elia, I advised him that I do not have any employees by that name, things continued to get very heated from the guest yelling and using profanity and I apologized and disconnected the call. When I arrived at work the (gentleman) followed my front desk agent into the hotel's laundry facility and beckoned for me to come out and lets do our investigation! So surprised that he would come to a restricted area (hotel's laundry) and yell from the hall I came out and went to the front desk and spoke to him, I apologized to him and shook his hand and then the person who made the reservation in the first place came in to the front desk and he (gentleman) told her everything was fine, and he turned to me and the front desk agent and told us to have a great Memorial Day we bid him the same and the incident was over just like that. I did not charge him the pet deposit and then the (girlfriend) post this complaint. This matter is resolved and I would prefer if either guest would not return to the hotel.

I am terribly sorry that your check in experience was less than wonderful. I will speak to all staff that was present at the time of your arrival.
