"We had an stress-free stay at The New Yorker during a non-rush period. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the city near Penn Station, Madison Square Garden, and a short walk to Times Square. It is an ideal spot for walking to major attractions or catching a subway anywhere in the city. Our room was consistently cleaned on a daily basis, and the housekeeping staff did a good job. The reception desk staff were friendly, professional, and attentive to any concerns we had. However, be aware that the hotel is "old school" and you have to pay for basic amenities, including a fee to store bags after checkout. Despite this, the convenience and safety, especially with security at the elevators, make it a great option."

"We got to this hotel and it was cramped, barely any space. There was black hair all over our bed and then when we called the front desk to bring up new sheets, they brought us the sheets and there was MORE black hair on the “Clean sheets” Also the blanket on the bed is basically like a sheet, it’s very thin. The elevator is spooky as well. It is tiny and it is loud and the door doesn’t open until you push the door open button. Will not be staying here again. "

"We were welcomed into the space by Ebony and Keke. They were very warm and welcoming. They basically tag teamed our check in and made it go super smoothly. Later Ebony carefully explained to me how to work the water/ice machine. It was lighthearted and a great connection. In the morning Claudia was super helpful about late checkout as well as recommending a bagel place in the neighborhood. Space was great. Really appreciate having a tub as an option. It’s a little tight in parts of the bedroom area but it does what needs to be done. Loved having the streaming accounts as part of the TV and not limited to some arbitrary channels. I would say that the outlets for plugs was out of the way. That was my only real complaint. Lovely stay. Reasonably priced. So close to so much. "
