“Clean and comfortable room , great location”

“Perfect location. Central to the island. Room was cool ..clean and quiet even above a pub. Breakfast was lovely”

“Staff were very positive and helpful. Room was clean. Breakfast was excellent and more than enough. Great choice available. Parking was good, but very tight on the night we were there as there was a wedding going on. But we still found a spot. In spite of how busy it was the staff coped really well and were cheerful to boot.”

“Nice walking distance to Emsworth railway station. Staff friendly and helpful. An old building which is more of an Inn than a hotel. Car park is monitored by ANPR system. Patrons of the bar must register their vehicles at the bar (cannot return in less than 2 hours). Hotel guests register when they check in - not aware of any time restrictions. No breakfast facilities available so I suggest a list of nearby cafes that can offer this being provided.”

“Booked a 3 night stay here.Great location, right opposite Osbourne House. Nice period property and room was spacious but tired in areas (shower had pieces of sealant hanging off and mould on the shower door). It would benefit from a good clean (eg dirty skirting boards, cobwebs, carpet stained). Hotel is situated on a main road so noisy even late at night with the windows open, although that didn't bother us. Had one evening meal here and one breakfast. Food was lovely although breakfast slow....

“The condition of the room was dreadful. Tatty, tired, worn, scruffy, grim - not somewhere you would want to spend time and definitely not priced to reflect this. We would have been disappointed had it been half the price. I will say that the cleaning staff did a good job as our room was clean at least and it must be difficult to make a room like this clean. However the duvet cover was torn, the carpet was worn, the paintwork chipped and flaking, bathroom very basic. The whole thing needs...

“Really old hotel lots of character starting to look very dated in rooms Really could do with a refit and some modernisation”

“Friendly staff”

“Very tired decor- mouldy shower/ bathroom. Strong smell of disinfectant, exposed wiring on lights. Needs refurbishment.”

“A very quaint and memorable visit. Hotel was charming, restaurant was wonderful, staff were exceptional. Located in the heart of Bishop Waltham, all the shops were exceptional and everyone we met in town were so very friendly. We had such a wonderful stay.”

“Well located and very easy!”

“I was out all day, so basically came here to sleep. 2 issues. 1) I could not get any heating in the room, the communal areas were warm, but my room was unheated. 2) the smart TV did not have any internet so I couldn't log into Netflix. On the plus side, I had a bath & the bed was very comfortable. Useful tea/coffee facilities. Unfortunately I never got to try their breakfast.”

“Very friendly and welcoming owner.”

“This was a cute pub with rooms to let above. Our room was on one of the top floors. It was quite tiny, but with a nice view out the tiny window and had all we needed. Staff were lovely and the bar was lovely too.”
