"Stayed here for a Monterey/Big Sur weekend with my boyfriend, his sister, and her husband.
Pros:
It was fairly affordable overall, the hotel is very cute. We liked the property. The pool is heated and the hot tub is roomy. Rooms are cute with skylights! Great location. Reasonable pet fees. Free water.
Cons:
"Breakfast" was disappointing. Not restocked frequently enough by staff. We were standing around waiting for hot water, juice, milk, and coffee. There was only hyper processed packaged goods and nothing substantial, no eggs, protein, waffles, nada.
Some staff was very distracted and not very welcoming. The woman who checked us in was on a business call for her own business when we arrived and kept going on/off the call with no apology. She didn't even tell us where our room was located without us having to ask or any other info. She also let us carry all our bags without mentioning where the elevator is or that there was a luggage cart.
Check in's on the later side, 4pm. I'm personally used to 3pm check in and checking in early if possible. Not to mention, they wouldn't even give us a late checkout. They don't split cards for the check in either.
They close the pool area super early, at 9pm. Standard is usually 10pm pool close and I travel fairly often. The hot tub was also not very sanitary. There was some kind of food in it, which we realized a while in when we saw "floaties".
Beds were too firm, bathroom fan was broken, towels are so small."
"We stayed for our anniversary and we were pleasantly surprised by a complimentary champagne arriving at our room upon arrival. Staff was great, location amazing! View amazing! We can’t wait to go back again!"
"The hotel is in a great location, nice room with a very comfortable bed and loved the fireplace. Parking was very easy at the property and the staff was lovely. The breakfast was minimal, but we usually go out for breakfast so that was not a priority. We loved our stay at the hotel and looking forward to returning soon."
"Beautiful big rooms with balconies with a sea view. Very comfortable beds.
Great location near to fisherman’s wharf and Main Street.
Good gym and pool area for guests to use.
Price higher than average but you get what you pay for."
