“I was in the area for work and was extremely fortunate to choose Hotel Etico for my stay. I arrived fairly late in the evening to a beautiful old Manor with a magnificent stately feel. My room was spacious and was very comforting. It was wonderful to set myself up in the Library and complete some office tasks at the end of the work day and to later sit by the fire in the dining room. “Although not in the heart of Katoomba or Leura, the B&B was still close to where we wanted to go. Our Hostess was very welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast (cold & hot) was ample and delicious.”

“Nice old fashioned guesthouse. Close to the station. There was no air conditioning, so close curtains and go to sleep when you are staying facing east. Beds were good, but the shower booth was so dirty. It looked clean from outside when I got inside, soap scum, mouldy at the corners and edges.”

Our main issue was the bunk beds do not have much head height on the lower bunk, and we could not use the top bunks for the kids as the safety rails only just reached the top of the mattress and they would fall out if rolled in the night. Otherwise very happy with the cabin and hosts.”

“Staying at Madison’s Mountain Retreat was the perfect getaway and experience for my family. We stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed the atmosphere of the grounds. Anne’s warm welcome and knowledge about the animals was excellent and we all enjoyed feeding the Alpacas, Llamas & Goats. The indoor pool was great for a quick swim & we felt nice and cosy in the rustic cabin accommodation which had a lovely view of the alpacas and farm. We will definitely be back. ”
