“It was a newly renovated Dar style riad (no garden in the courtyard), but the mosaic details were amazing. In keeping with the Chafchaouen style, the whole riad was covered in blue-and-white mosaic, creating an ethereal experience. It is located within easy walking distance of all the tourist spots. “Excellent hotel. Relatively new. Great breakfast. Helpful staff. 5-10 minutes walk to the ‘blue city’. Great views across the valley. Spacious rooms. I’d stay there again We parked our bikes directly in front of the reception, where there are cameras and a full time night security - so they felt safe. Apparently Chefchaouen is a safe location anyway - we felt that way in the narrow passageways of the medina. Worth a visit. ”

“Horrible management and rotten service. If you can’t find a better option in this small town, consider instead a day trip from Tangier. They will scam you with their spa menu. Their pool has mold growing on the ceiling. They are nonresponsive and rude. ”

For us it was a perfect location being out of the centre as we had a car but if you don’t have a car it is close enough to get into the main centre by walking or taxi.
