Thus hotel is exceptional in all the right ways. The staff are all super friendly, Peter is an active owner who looks after his guests, and the grounds and position are all wonderful. As other guests have mentioned, the beach is not deep, and is mainly covered in high tide, but in low tide, you can walk to along it to the town, or the diving cave pool. The hotel is beautiful. Nice and friendly and helpful staff. Clean and spacious rooms, nice bathroom, the balcony view is lovely.

The only bad thing about this hotel is the transportation. They have only one shuttle to alona beach and the taxi arragements are overpriced. Better take a tricicle.

I’m writing this as an American tourist that has been to all-inclusive resorts in Cancun and Costa Rica a few times (to help you American readers compare). This resort is 5 stars. Staff is very nice and helpful. The beach itself is amazing. Clear waters, white soft sand. Just watch out for the sea urchins. Staff can give you more details about that. My 1st stay at Hennan was remarkable that is why I chose to stay again. My expectations were so high however the experience was quite different. Probably it was so crowded in the pool and by the beach area, including the lobby. Unlike before, there was a staff who greeted u as soon as u enter with a welcome drink and a sort of a lei given to u. Noticed the upholsteries in the lobby are dirty. The atmosphere is not as relaxing as before. But, the staff remain courteous and friendly.

Excellent staff! Room is clean. Some buildings look old from the outside but rooms are clean and modern. Spa staff are great! View is exquisite!

Very hospitable staff love the free shuttle to Alona beach. Although tasty, I was salivating for the longganisa bfast but it was a hotdog.

The room was wondeful! I stayed in the dormitory that I shared with 5 other people. Our mattres were on the floor which was bamboo. Each dorm was separated by white curtains. The windows had white curtains too. The bed had white mosquito net. The whole effect was calming and wonderful. The staff were very friendly. The vegetations and floweres also affected the atmosphere of the resort positively.
