Overall, an okay stay. The hotel is clean and the check-in process was smooth. However, because it's an older building where my room was, the floors and bed are very creaky wheh moving around, and the windows let in a fair amount of noise from outside. Note for early travelers: breakfast starts at 8:00 AM, which was too late for my schedule. Might stay again.
Very attentive staff from reception to bar/restaurant. Room was a good size and clean. Prices in the bar/restaurant were very reasonable and good quality food. Would definitely consider a return stay if the need arose.
Fantastic welcome from start to finish. Great hotel, super friendly staff, nice bar area and a fab breakfast. Rooms clean and spacious with a great view.
Parking on site very convenient. Room 1 great view. Comfy bed, great shower.

Liked: Cleanliness
The first room didn’t have hot water, and after 2 days we were moved to another smaller room. There was also a window which was close to falling out. Overall, the hotel whilst satisfactory was very tired.
The staff were helpful pleasant and courteous.

Breakfast was poor quality and amount for £11-95 the room was not fresh! The stsmaff were all friendly! No parking as there was a function on but that was no biggy! Been before and had a lovely stay but was disappointed this time
There was a nice big parking lot. The rooms were ok, the beds weren't the most comfortable. The staff and receiptionist were very nice. There is a pub right next door. The room itself was disappointing and lacking general upkeep. For a budget stay, it was ok.
Great hotel, staff were friendly and lovely all around. Our room was above the bar and two of the three nights they had live music - we didn’t know and thus had live music coming up through the floor until 11pm. So just be mindful of which room you book and/or if there’s going to be live entertainment. Otherwise, great location for sight seeing, wonderful little town, food was excellent on site!

The carpet was not attached between the bathroom and bedroom so it was trip hazard.
The WiFi wasn’t very good.
The tv was a smart tv but was unable to connect to the wifi making it fairly useless.
However, the room itself was clean, neat and tidy. The curtains were black out which is rare for hotels and a lovely touch. The coffee and tea facilities were excellent.
We were also able to check in early which, again, was hugely beneficial.
Welcome to the Scottish Fawlty Towers.
Bit harsh maybe
Wifi intermitent, loud cars in the car park, no warning about saturday music nights, banging doors in rooms above reception shouty kids on the playing fields opposite, inside waterfall on the pool table.
But all that aside, the hotel is brilliant, the staff are fantastic, the food is amazing and the locals are friendly and welcoming.
I thoroughly recommend this hotel to everyone it is a must stay destination.
Thankyou all at the Richmond you were brilliant

Plenty of car parking, the staff were warm and welcoming and the room was clean, the bathroom was very spacious, and the restaurant downstairs was very convenient
