โThis was such a find! Stayed one night with friends in a private room while we hiked in the Brecon Beacons and it was perfect for what we needed. Perks included - plenty of drying rooms (it rained the whole time we were there so this was very much needed!), restaurant and bar, cosy lounge with fire and board games, and a sink in the room. Easy to find, plenty of parking, and great location. If I'm in the area again I will definitely come back.โ
โWasnt clear how to check in, but rung in the morning and was advised to call to pub for room card.
The room was very clean, and well presented. Can see they are looked after. Nice walk in shower with 2 separate heads.
Plenty of storage for clothes etc.
Bed was very comfortable and made for a great night sleep.
The food served at the Pen Y Cae was amazing and all the staff we encountered throughout our stay were helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much bother for them. โ
โThe rooms at the Howfield were exactly as described in the photos. very comfortable bed, good hot shower with good flow and very clean. the housekeeping staff were polite, cheerful and helpful.
communication and check in was completed efficiently via text messages with quick responses ( we asked for an early check in and the room was ready for us )

โVery spacious, clean room and bathroom with a comfortable bed. This was a great space to sleep before setting out each day to explore the area. Amazing view from the room. The breakfast was lovely. The owners, Bob and Olha were extremely kind and friendly. The property has a beautiful garden and one afternoon when we decided to explore it, we caught Bob and Olha working on their new pool project. โLovely, independent restaurant and hotel in stunning surroundings. The rooms are well maintained and nicely done. The staff are friendly, very helpful, and really look after you. The breakfast in the mornings is great and really appreciated all the efforts the staff went to over the Easter bank holiday. โ
