“I recently spent three weeks at De Hoop with my fiance and it was the perfect place to unwind and relax. The cottage was small and simple, but contained everything that one requires as advertised. Perfect hot shower/water, with both indoor and outdoor braai. Great views of the mountains, lovely shaded porch, great trails to walk on the farm and dams to swim in.”

“Our stay was great. The host was outside and greeted us when we drove up. She directed us to our room (an upgrade) and explained the services, mainly breakfast since it was winter. Speaking of breakfast, the hot plate was delicious, a great start to our morning. Only issue was the cold. It was in the high 30s/low 40s and there was no heat in the room or breakfast area. The extra blanket helped, but there was no where to sit that was a reasonable temperature. The staff we met were all fabulous....

“Very nice one night stay while travelling. Stayed in the garden room - very quiet and also has self-catering facilities. Short walk to several restaurants. We opted for a pizza nearby. Expedia shows breakfast included. This is an error - owner trying to resolve with agency. But breakfast is available at a small cost. Just ask Mike to show you his collection - stunning!”

“Leuk verblijf in een monumentenpand. Gelogeerd in de oude stallen die omgebouwd zijn naar een selfcaterig appartement. Niet veel luxe maar gezelkig ingericht. Prachtig tuin met zwembad.”

“Booked in the cottage, but as I was alone, I was moved to the house. Bigroom, clean and comfortable blankets etc and heater for the cold. tv unfortunatrly didnt work, so I read instrad. Friendly helpful service”

“The reception was great but the facility is not well-looked after. The rooms were not so clean and the swimming pool was green. The breakfast was below standard and that is being generous. The Milk that was left out for porridge was sour. For the monies paid, I expected more.”
