Reception team were welcoming, friendly and efficient. Have to say that the room was a disappointment. I paid for a Superior Room (251)! but it felt very tired and dated. There was damp on the external walls and the paint on the window cills were all chipped and blown from the moisture. It didn’t feel Superior at all.
Helpful staff and good restaurent. Exercise room and spa were good but the swimming pool is tiny.

Hotel was nice, but booked to go to the Spa on the phone several days before arrival. Which was confirmed to me on the phone, then to arrive at the spa and be told they had no booking under our name or room number and they was full. Disappointed
Beautiful Hotel, the bed was 1 of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in! The room was spotless, the staff wete very courteous and very helpful
Staff were excellent, room was well provisioned, restaurant food was fantastic. Location is excellent, but be aware can't drive directly to front of hotel. Noise was an issue from roadworks going on until 2 am, and other guests complained about party noise, which in fairness was something the hotel alerted people to. Room was on the cooler side, couldn't seem to warm up.
Lovely room, clean and spacious. Slight smell from drain in bathroom - expect this is a one off/room specific issue? Staff friendly. Breakfast okay - opted to upgrade to hot menu (mushrooms on toast were nice, not the most exciting options).

The shower was faulty. The carpets outside the bedroom were stained. Disappointing 😞
3 big problems:
1 - Heating didn't work so had to change the room
2 - In the new room - the hand soap ran out middle of night
3 - In the new room - the noise outside was terrible - nightclubs, street cleaning kept going on for all night & early morning. Impossible to sleep. Need complete sound-proof.
Pretty poor for a hotel that claims to be luxurious / comfortable - neglecting the very basics like above. Large rooms, luxurious furniture and fancy espresso machines were no use if the noise keeps you awake.

An overpriced hotel where everything is extra. Once they have your card beware
Nice room and welcome. However I booked this room as I wanted a swimming pool, which it says it has. When I got there I was told it would be £10 to use it! Just because I booked via an app. No details on the app to say that!
The location was excellent in terms of proximity to shops/bars/restaurants. As it's a City Centre Hotel you do expect to hear Street noise and music so it was surprising that ear plugs aren't provided.
The air conditioning looked like it needed a clean/servicing. It was inadequate and had I stayed more than one night I would have requested an engineer.
The bed was incredibly comfortable and the linen felt clean and high quality, which is what I expect from a Harbour Hotel.
The bathroom was also very clean with a really good shower.
The room itself felt very dated, the furniture made it feel cramped and the layout made no sense. The sofa needed a deep clean, it had numerous dubious stains and we avoided using it for this reason. I'd prearranged some sparkling wine for the room for a Birthday surprise but sadly this wasn't there, however we did receive some chocolates, which was nice. Overall, the room we were in really needs an overhaul - fresh carpets and furniture as it was underwhelming for the room type (junior suite) and made the room feel dirty.
When booking it says hotel comes with pool and spa etc. when checking in your asked if you want to use it and what time. when you arrive to use the spa your asked if you would like a locker. So you can understand my shock while leaving the spa after using it I was told to pay £10. No where while booking does it say you have to pay extra, only that the room and hotel include these amenities. Which if you have to pay extra after booking I feel as if I was miss sold. Espially as I had a nicer room booked at hotel du vin around the corner. The rest of the hotel needs some TLC of alreast a fresh coat of paint. And I had not once but twice get a new room key as it wouldn’t work. First time after using the spa and being in robe and slippers, second time late at night and having to wait for some one to come to reception.
Daher:
das Hotel sofort wieder,
aber die Stadt Bristol nicht.
Pump noise from kitchen prevented sleep. It is a known issue and it should be fixed rather than subjecting guests to the intermittent loud noise.

Great staff but facilities tired
Staff were amazing and very helpful but room and gym very dated and tired. Carpet was stained and furniture like bed side table has tatty corners. The windows in the room didn’t open, and no natural light as room faced a wall and windows were frosted so it felt very dark and miserable even in the day. Limescale building up on edge of shower doors. Floors in communal areas very dirty. Treadmills in gyms were not working properly and had ripped belts. In all not what you’d expect for the level of hotel but the location is excellent however.
Evening meal was not great either although the service was wonderful but they had no mussels available, no non sparkling wine list in the drinks menu and cod dish was very over salted.
I stayed for my sister’s wedding. I have never spent so much on a hotel room so was excited to be somewhere I thought would be really posh. I was disappointed and will not stay again. I tried to check in slightly early so I could check in before the wedding. I was dismissed quite quickly and told they were busy. No effort was made to take my number to let me know when it was ready. I also wasn’t told the latest time I could arrive. I left the wedding reception and came back to check in and was glad I had as the desk was unmanned when the wedding finished.
The bed was comfy but the room was tiny. There was no natural light as the windows were darkly frosted. It made it very difficult to see to apply makeup. The coffee machine needed setting up with water and there was no jug in the room to do this. Throughout the hotel, the carpets were covered with stains and everything was looking a little tatty. Throughout the stay there were also piles of clean and dirty towels and sheets throughout the corridors. I would have expected - for the price of the room - to have a decent breakfast included so was shocked to discover I could only have a continental breakfast and had to pay extra for a cooked one. I did pay for this and it was quite small and I needed to eat again quite shortly after. My parents were also staying in the hotel for the wedding and were appalled when they got back after the reception to find human faces outside the lift on their floor. Would not recommend at all.
Would come here again. Really comfortable and spacious room. We stayed in deluxe. Definitely worth the upgrade. Cleaning staff forgot to fill up the toiletries which was a shame. But otherwise excellent
