Never stay at this hotel, bed was broken, air conditioning broken, didn’t stay in the upgraded room we paid for. No tea or coffe facilities in the room, only one lift work, wasn’t offered anything help discount nothing at all. No cups in your room no kettle nothing. Paid for queen room , had a view of car park. Was a birthday night away. Stayed in room 309. Never ever again.

Great location, but noisy with window open even at 4am. Breakfast very disappointing just about warm. The toast was the hottest item!
Overall the stay was ok. The location was good (very central for the city centre) and the staff were excellent - very friendly and helpful. The main issue was that during the recent heatwave the air conditioning was non existent so that the room was incredibly warm. This meant that it was virtually impossible to sleep at night (although we had a fan in our room which helped slightly).

Good but needs some upgrades
Hotel is fine perfect location.
The rooms would benefit from air conditioning as this made out sleep uncomfortable.
Otherwise easy check in. Room clean and adequate. Parking cost £20 for NCP located behind the hotel as it has no on-site parking. Even with parking ‘validation’ by the hotel it was another £20 for this. I’m sure the hotel could agree for rates better than this.
Tired and dated property which was badly maintained and cleaned. It fell below the mark for a 4 star hotel and we had a disappointing stay. Reception staff were all very friendly though and it is well located.
We stayed at Mercure Bristol Brigstow for 1 night and unfortunately it was just awful. On arrival we were greeted by a member of staff who didn't seem very interested in being there. Once we received our key card we headed to the lifts...... When doing my research before booking this hotel I saw comments that the lifts were out of order, these reviews were from over 18 months ago and to my disappointment one of the lifts were still out of order!! The room itself was immaculate! It was clean, spacious and seemed very nice. However, we soon learnt that the air conditioning did not work and the room was boiling! In addition to this, there was a fan in the wardrobe so I assume they know of the issue. When the heat of the room became uncomfortable we decided to head to the hotel bar. On arrival we were greeted by yet another unenthusiastic member of staff who was not wearing a mask or social distancing who showed us to a table and when I asked for a bar menu he simply said 'we don't do bar menu's'. After a hot and sweaty nights sleep it was time for breakfast, which was yet again was disappointing. After checking out I headed to my car, which I parked in the NPC car park behind the hotel (the hotel's recommendation) only to find my car had been broken into and personal belongings stolen. I know this is not the fault of the hotel but when I went back to inform reception they simply said that it is a common occurrence. In conclusion, I would strongly suggest avoiding this hotel!
we had some noisy neighbours just after midnight but staff staff did not respond via the whatsapp number provided (room phones removed due to COVID-19) which was disappointing. Otherwise - Excellent value and location

It was such a lovely stay! They don’t have phones for room service so when we ran out of something we had to call a Whatsapp number - but they only answered it once the whole time we were there!

Trp to Bristol
Staff super friendly. Bed was cosy. But lights flickered and made buzzing noises, lamp did not work. Shower door did not close.
Everything was as expected. Room is spacious and clean as well as it was the bathroom.
Easy check in/out
Only little low is that air conditioning was not that strong and opening the window was impossible due to security measures!
A well-positioned, pleasant and reasonably-priced hotel. It would be nice if they could offer a bigger discount on the NCP car park one uses when staying there.
25% Discount on car parking. Room was very clean. Lift was broken so some poor man at reception had to carry suitacase up 6 floors!
Was a bit of a pain doing without the lift but apprently if we should have been informed by Hotels.com before our visit.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Lift didn’t work. Room was on 5th floor. Staff quite slow at reception. Room furnishing a little dated. Good location though and nice views of the canal.
Lifts out of action and no email to forewarn! Found ourselves on the 6th floor. Not great with an arthritic hip.
Room was fine but having booked months previously we found ourselves at the back facing a building site. The heating was on over drive and could not turn it down. Couple next to us argued for two nights running and we had to call security on the2nd night.
We have stayed here previously and has been fine but I don’t believe we will look to stay at this hotel again.
