"Decent location, with a Sheetz, Applebee's, and Texas Roadhouse right next door.
The property is set up like a motel, with outdoor-access rooms on the first and second floors and enclosed hallways on the third floor. For convenience, I requested a ground-floor room at check-in.
Unfortunately, when we walked into Room 103, the smell was overwhelming - it smelled strongly of dog. It appeared that the floor had been quickly mopped without being properly cleaned first, as dog hair had simply been pushed around. There were stained lampshades, a stain on the bedsheet, and the overall cleanliness was unacceptable. The odor was especially unpleasant.
I called the front desk to explain the situation and asked if another room was available.
We were moved from Room 103 to Room 318, and the difference was night and day. Since pets are not allowed on the third floor, the new room was much cleaner and smelled fresh. Walking into it was a huge relief.
The front desk gentleman was excellent. He upgraded us at no additional cost and even called after we got settled into the new room to make sure everything was satisfactory. Customer service was easily 5/5.
My takeaway: if you're traveling with a pet, the first and second floors may be convenient, but based on my experience, those areas appeared less well-maintained. The third floor was significantly cleaner, quieter, and much more pleasant."
"The kids really liked the pool, although it was pretty full from the teams staying there for some baseball tournament.
I loved that the free breakfast was hot, usually when a hotel says breakfast is free, they throw you a box of cereal and some milk, but we had French toast and smoked sausages. It was a great value and helped to save some money on eating out while visiting.
They were also really accommodating, I was able to bring our dog for a very small fee after I booked the room and they helped us feel welcome."
"Would not recommend this hotel. Room was dirty. There was hair on a towel, hair in the shower, and when we closed the door in the bathroom, there was a literal wad of hair hanging from a hinge. Disgusting. Decided NOT to shower. Overall, the property lacks upkeep and looks very dingy. They really need to invest a lot more time and money into their property. Would not stay here again."
