We booked this bed and breakfast for a weekend marriage conference. Before arriving we were called and told that they had to move our room to the carriage house due to a septic issue with the main manor. The carriage house is a smaller building on the property. Upon arriving it felt a bit run down overall. We entered our room on the second floor of the carriage house. It was small but quaint and what we needed. We had some difficulties with the heat the first night. We woke up freezing so we turned on our in room electric fireplace and then it was overly hot. Unfortunately there was no thermostat or way to control the temp in our room. The towels provided were very small, the shower head in the shower was somewhat broken and kept aiming the water at our feet when showering. The radiators heat made a ton of loud banging sounds at night that woke us up both nights. Most disappointing is that there is no one on staff to greet you, and the freshly made breakfast we thought we would be getting at a bed and breakfast was a self serve bar in the main house with yogurt, prepackaged cakes and bagels, bananas that were not ripe, cereal cups with milk and a fridge with microwaveable breakfast items that were frozen from jimmy deans. It left much to be desired. It sounds like it used to be much better with the previous owners. I would recommend looking into another bed and breakfast in the area even if it is a bit more expensive as you will get a better experience as we paid to go out to
