10/10 Excellent

"The Chalfonte is 150 year-old hotel. There is no elevator so be aware we had a room on the third floor. Lots of stairs room was small but we loved the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They carried our luggage up the stairs .restaurant is wonderful for both breakfast and dinner. On Thursdays it’s a wonderful band on the porch. Porch is a great hangout any night."

"The staff was friendly and responded quickly to text messages. The location is close to the beach in Cape May. We visited Wildwood beach and also made the 35 min drive to Atlantic City during our trip. The Villa was advertised as luxury and that was a stretch. We did our own cleaning prior to settling in. There are rust stains in the freezer and refrigerator. The toilet and sink didn't look clean and we found several long straight black hairs all around the villa, as well as attached to clean towels and bedding. The pool area was quit, relaxing and beautiful. Overall a good stay, but when you list something as luxury I expect no signs of the previous guest."

"The double bed suite was perfect for my husband and I with our daughter and grandson. It gave us an extra room for the baby and my daughter to call their own. The couch turned into a double bed, but it was actually lumpy. The idea is great, but could use better pull out beds. The little balcony overlooking the pool and beach was perfect for late night chats and cocktails. Pool area was clean and lovely. Food at the Barefoot Bar was convenient and tasty. Overall it was a wonderful stay."

"The room was a good size and clean. I think they could use some more weather stripping around the doors to keep bugs out. Adding hooks in the bathroom would be good and a line to pull out and across the tub for bathing suits. The closet is sooo small. Maybe add something else to the wall in the large room to hang things on. Our only big complaint is the super noisy air conditioner. We brought ear plugs and bought stronger ear plugs at a local CVS, but we still could not sleep with the noise. The location and the beach access is perfect. Nice guys on the beach supplying towels, chairs and umbrella. We enjoyed the pool and the steel drum musician. Hemingway's bar and restaurant was very nice. Nice bartenders and servers. We would return."
