โHyland Motor Inn is a clean, neat budget motel 10 minutes from the Stone Harbor beaches. The outdoor pool was still open the weekend of Sept.19, 2025! The water temp was โrefreshing!โ The staff is very welcoming and very kind.โ
โThe Desert Sands is very nice. This is not our first time, and we enjoyed every time we stayed there. The location and facilities are excellent.
We especially noticed that he staff was very courteous and supportive.
We did have an issue with a partially clogged shower drain in a bathroom. When we discussed it with the staff, they were very understanding and supportive.

โThe is a well maintained motel. It is not fancy or pretentious. Our room was small but perfectly maintained with a comfortable bed. There is a shared grill, dining table, and outside shower. โ
โThis property was great. Loved the subtle cute touches as well as having the super friendly staff! Being so close to the beach and boardwalk is also great. The parking spots were very tight, but we didnโt have any issues with other cars scratching ours. We will definitely be back! โ
โWe loved the fact that it was a separate house and the kids playing and having fun would not bother anyone else. The pool was a good size, very manageable if you have smaller kids. The house was well-equipped but did not have foaming handsoap in the bathrooms. Not a problem for us because we always bring our own (whenever we travel) and a cannister of Clorox wipes. The foaming soap is helpful for kids - makes it easier for them to wash their hands. So that's a suggestion :-)
