Very comfortable bed. Convenient to lots of restaurants and a nice walk along the waterfront plus Millennium Center. No elevator so beware if that's an issue for you.

Comfortable beds, clean and location are good. Check on parking costs in the area and I would have liked a more flexibly costed breakfast but that is a normal problem with most Hotels in this country.

I really liked the staff and the breakfast. I also appreciated the uniqueness of the building, its location right on Cardiff Bay and the overall cleanliness of the place. In terms of dislikes, there was nothing.

Great stay at Jolyons
Everything was great, including the location, Staff, and the room. Olga was really helpful and friendly and we will definitely use the hotel next time we are in Cardiff.

Das Hotel liegt in einer guten Lage direkt neben dem Millenium Centre und hat gute Anbindung zu Stadt. Die Besitzer waren sehr bemüht Fragen zu beantworten und Probleme zu lösen. Auch das Zimmer selbst war schön eingerichtet.

The place with the bright pink door!!
This is not your average hotel. Delightful owner and staff Cosy family run feel in the middle of Cardiff Bay. Great communication before we even arrived and good attention to details. If you’re looking for starched linen and stuffy clients, don’t stay here. If you’re looking for relaxed style in fabulous location near huge number of bars and restaurants with parking, plus access to bus or boat trips into town, and taxis along with parking.... no brainier.

Lovely hotel in a great location
This hotel is in about the best possible position for a visit to Cardiff Bay. Right in the centre of the Bay it’s a smart, friendly and really comfortable hotel. Welcomed by the owner and able to get into our room early which is always a good start. Walking distance to almost everything. We parked in the Q park which is a few hundred yards away as the small Hotel car park was full on arrival. This hotel absolutely deserves its high ranking.

Great boutique hotel in Cardiff
Great hotel and different to the normal chain hotels I stay in. Check in is a little odd in that it's only manned for a few hours, so it might be awkward if your arriving late. The room was big and well appointed, although a desk to be able to do some work would have been great. The bathroom was spacious with a big bath and walk in shower. The slight negatives with the facilities : The room was really warm with no Air Conditioning, and as the room was on the ground floor, I could really open the window very much as people could look right in to the room. Breakfast was a real positive, friendly service and the food was freshly cooked to order. I stay in a lot of hotels in Cardiff and I can honestly say this is the best breakfast I have had. Overall a great hotel in a perfect Cardiff Bay location.

Loved staying at Jolyons! The room was beautiful and comfy. I enjoyed the jetted tub for my achy travelers legs. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was top notch! The location was right there on the bay, convenient and beautiful.

A Hidden Gem: luxury in the heart of Cardiff Bay
I never write good reviews for fear of the best hotels getting fully booked and expensive. My stay it this hotel has caused me to change a habit of a lifetime! Location could not be better. Room was beautifully decorated, warm, cosy and very comfortable. Breakfast was nothing short of exceptional - cooked before your very eyes. Undoubtedly the best bacon sandwich I have had in the past 100 hotels I have visited. Good pub nearby and plenty of places to eat including Moksh which is a 3 minute walk away. A real hidden gem.

Fabulous
This little hotel is a gem. I was given a warm welcome by friendly and professional staff. My room was of a good size and had a Morrocon feel with the decor, very smart. Clean everywhere and all amenities. Good local restaurant near by. Bed was very comfortable and I had a peaceful night. Breakfast was superb, well cooked and wholesome. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Great location and lovely friendly service.
Stayed with a colleague for a meeting. The hotel is boutique and with an amazing view across Cardiff Bay and the Wales Millennium Centre. Check was very friendly and a lovely warm fire welcomed us and a Coffee. Our room was upgraded. Would certainly stay again as it is pretty and in the middle of the entertainment/food hub of Cardiff Bay.

Cosy hideaway in Cardiff Bay
I was a little unnerved, arriving at the hotel at 5pm to find no one there (reception is supposed to be manned 3-6pm), but was delighted to find the room comfortable, clean and even better than it looked on the website. When we did meet some staff the next morning, they made us very welcome. The location is right in the heart of Cardiff Bay - though even on a weekend night it was not noisy and felt very safe.

Gear little boutique in the heart of the city
Stayed here for the Beyonce concert in the town centre. The location was great for access to town and lovely Cardiff Bay. The chap who greeted us on arrival was very friendly and helpful. The 3pm check in was a bit of a pain as we had wanted to check in earlier to get to town sooner and the latest you can check in is 6pm so we just had to wait. We booked the deluxe rooms which was lovely and had a jacuzzi bath. We sadly never had time to use it by its a nice touch. There was plenty of coffee and some sweets provided as well as water (much needed the next morning) which again are nice additional touches. My only quibble about the room is the large window next to the toilet where people can see you outside unless you have he blind down. Slat blinds would probably be better....for everyone! Overall we had a lovely stay and would stay again. We were able to leave our luggage in the main lounge where guests are greeted the next day to go to town, though a secure luggage store would have been better but you can't have everything. And absolutely love Cardiff!

Lovely boutique hotel, within sight of and a very short walk from the Wales Millennium Centre (brilliant for all sorts of concert and opera) and the sights of Cardiff Bay. Very high standard of furnishing in the suite - Victorian and modern, but a couple of small things needed maintenance.

Hotel did not have anyone to receive us when we arrived in the rain AFTER the checkin time. We eventually were checked in via phone. Very confusing and after a night on the plane very unwelcoming.

Cardiff Bay Stay.
A thoroughly enjoyable stay. Jonathan the manager was a star, he could not do enough for us, very friendly and accommodating from the minute we arrived till the moment we left. Central position for Cardiff Bay, lots of eating and drinking places nearby and lots to see and do. A 20 minute walk into the city center and loads of parking nearby so no need to take the car. Would recommend for a short stay and we would definitely stay again.

Historic in modern setting
Having not been in Cardiff for over 15 years I booked in for one night after a meeting to make the most of being there again and to see the dockland development. The hotel has a fantastic location with plenty of pubs and restaurants and the waterfront just minutes away. Our room (2) was lovely, on the first floor at the front with a fantastic view, but having no nets or blinds it was also very exposed to the public below, especially the bathroom, where there were no curtains and the blind kept rolling up. Thankfully the bath towels are huge and so one became a makeshift curtain! Not ideal but the bed was excellent and tea/coffee and real glasses were all appeciated. The whirlpool bath was fun but very noisy and difficult to have a straightforward shower in. Didn't have breakfast but it smelt great and the dining room looks lovely. Remote check-in is a bit odd but the member of staff on duty in the morning was incredibly nice and helpful. Would certainly return if back in Cardiff.

Quirky little hotel
Good stay. Quirky little hotel, well appointed and very clean,perfectly positioned for Cardiff Bay.Very pleasant shabby chic rooms - comfy beds. No aircon. Didn't have breakfast there - went to Wetherspoons. Lost hot water in the morning which was a shame.Finding parking can be a nuisance. There is no manned reception at this hotel - the contact is made by house phone with a receptionist based at the sister hotel in Cathedral Road. Would stay again no problem

Lovely quirky hotel
Visit Cardiff regularly but have never stayed here before but we will definatly be staying again. Unusual not to have anyone check you in but it meant we could leave our bags and just go. We had a lovely room with a very comfortable bed, the only thing that bothered us was that the bathroom had a corner bath and no shower but it didn't spoil our stay. The sweets, shortbread and water was a lovely touch. We didn't have breakfast but the lovely guy who was there in the morning gave us some water to take with us. This place couldn't be any more central in Cardiff bay so very handy if you are going to a show in the Millenium Centre.
