“Great place to stay and explore this exotic corner of Costa Rica. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff that helped us with tricky rescheduling of domestic flights and other travelling tips and tricks about how to get around in the country. ”

“This place is an oasis in the rain forest! Beautiful grounds and the staff and owner were the best! Water taxis and walking is how you get around. Ton's of wildlife and a great experience! I would call it "rustic elegance". Just one item that may bother others is there is no climate control in the rooms. That did not bother us since they all have ceiling fans, but it may be a consideration of some.”

“Lovely place. The staff was very attentive and bfast was really good! Great location just a few minutes walk to downtown and the national park. Lots of wildlife including howler monkeys. (The monkeys would start their noise around 4am so if you’re a light sleeper, bring ear plugs!) ”

“If you want to see birds and animals, this is the place to be. If you can get cabin #10, you have a great bird tree view.”

“The place is ok, a little over rated in my opinion. One has to get out of the car to open gate to get into a small parking space. They woke me up early on Sunday morning to move my car, cause I was the last one in the parking space last night and someone wanted to leave, so I had to get up to move my car. They were very rude about it. So parking is an issue, as it was raining hard and had to get out to open and close gate also.”

“Fabulous experience staying in the jungle. Accommodation basic but lying in bed listening to howler monkeys / frogs can't be beaten. Staff extremely helpful and the breakfast banana pancakes when we arrived via water taxi were amazing. Lots of places to sit out in the breeze looking at the river boats and bird watch ”

“Es un lugar totalmente rústico. Para llegar, es necesario tomar una lancha. Sin embargo, está muy confortable, limpio y protegido. La comida que ofrecen es muy buena, el entorno es el lago, vegetación, y aves hermosas. Y lo mejor de todo, el trato del personal es excelente (Edgar, el barman, excepcional atención). Para ir al pueblo, también se toma taxi acuático. Toda una hermosa experiencia para relajarse en medio de la naturaleza”

“Segunda vez que me hospedaba en ese hotel, la primera vez , hace 2 años fue perfecto ,debió de cambiar de gerencia porque la segunda fue un desastre: Problemas con la reserva, no pude hospedarme la primera noche, después de "negociar" para la siguiente noche, al llegar y pagar tardaron 3 horas en dar la vuelta de lo pagado en dolares, excusa: la falta de cambio, me devolvieron en colones dando un cambio muy inferior al cambio del día, tuve que protestar para que me lo "mejoraran algo"...

“This was an amazing property with lovely, patient staff, and owners who had an answer for each of the (many, many) questions we had. The area is beautiful and safe, and the owners make it a point to make sure guests are getting what they want out of a vacation. Thank you for nudging us to bike to Punta Uva, Eric. Next time -maybe- we'll consider rafting from the airport 😉”

“La cabaña nos pareció excelente, con una. Urna distribución, cuartos, cocina y baño. El propietario muy amable y servicial. Nos encantó en general la estadía y el lugar muy acogedor y tranquilo”

“Lovely resort tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the busy town. You wouldn’t even know it’s there. Need to have coffee makers in the rooms along with access to communal water and ice. For the price, it was expensive.”
