AC was set at 61when I arrived but was easily adjusted to my comfort. The room smelled wonderfully of peppermint! Most of these older hotels can’t get rid of the bad odors. I also love that the floor is not carpeted that’s another way to get rid of bad odors. The young man who checked me in was very accommodating.

It was quiet besides being near a road. Was able to check with no problems but for a dog friendly hotel, there was no place I could take my dog to go without it being on concrete or rocks. I had a good sleep, it was quiet and no problems. I enjoyed my stay.

We reserved 5 rooms. Great check in. The older lady was very patient and friendly even though we had a big group of family. Rooms were decent and clean. Ac were a little noisy but understandable because they are older. And our room door didn’t lock lol but other than that our stay was good.

The people working there were all good. Our room: Smelled like cigarette smoke (non smoking room) Cigarette burns on bedspread and blanket Bed was very uncomfortable Alot of noise, partying in the parking lot. The room itself was clean, no bugs

Good value for Carlsbad

Reasonably clean (inside of fridge could have been cleaner) quiet and comfortable. Great shower and textured tub surface. The room was small and cramped. Not bad for a Motel 6 and probably a decent value for Carlsbad. We usually stay there when in Carlsbad because the lodging rates are so high in that tourist town.
