"The location is perfect for the Convention Centre (via a 5 minute walk) and access to the main Broadbeach area. The staff were incredible - the lovely and friendly lady on check in couldn't have been nicer or more helpful! There is some confusion in how to get to/from if you're driving, only because they don't have a dedicated space for pick up/initial registration (drive past the Star Casino, but you need to then double-back past Star Residences). You then have to go back around past the Star Casino and then around the back to park - it's not really well-signed. Plus, some online booking sites mention it's a discounted $20 parking fee but it's actually $25. The rooms are nice, but they're not dark enough (there's a lot of light under the door from the hallway and from the window at night time even with the curtains closed). And a minor thing - I think it was a mistake but I had 2 body washes and 1 conditioner vs. 1 body wash, 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner in the squeezy toiletries. The best part about my stay would definitely be the staff and their service, and the ideal location for what I needed."

"The room was fab with a great view and the amenities that I needed . I was aware that the indoor pool was out of action but not to the extent that the works were . When I arrived I got to an area fenced for works , so had no idea how to get into the hotel . Luckily a kind resident helped me . Also the outdoor pool was out of action for 2 days which wasn’t brilliant . I understand works happen but a better brief g would have been nice , I would have perhaps booked somewhere else . However once the works are done I would recommend it to anyone"

"The location was fabulous, close to the beach, close to the tram line, easy access to the centre of Surfers Paradise and restaurants. The downside was the parking issue, for example cars in incorrect spaces. Information from reception was very poor regarding iregarding the complex eg amenities and linen as the reception was unattended for our entire 7 day stay. However we would recommend the Ipanema and also stay again."
