"The property itself was a little run down - although quite charming because it is an historical building, but the rooms, bathrooms and kitchen facilities were spotless. My room was very small but perfectly comfortable. the staff on the desk spoke adequate English (I speak no Spanish, to my shame) and were always friendly and helpful. All in all, t was definitely value for money, and I would be happy to stay there again. The only problem was that some of the residents were a bit noisy at night and left the bathrooms with very wet floors - not at all necessary if one takes a little care! But this is hardly the hotel's fault."

"Definitely an amazing place to stay in the heart of Madrid! The apartment was beautiful, exceptionally clean, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious. It’s not easy to find accommodations with this much space and comfort right in the center of the city. The location was perfect for exploring Madrid, and the apartment made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a beautiful, comfortable, and convenient place to stay. Definitely a place I would come back to!"

The only disappointment was the staff weren’t particularly helpful on the front desk, especially as there was a lot of travel disruption with a parade and protest going on, no acknowledgement of this, no option offered for breakfast, maps, reservations, or general hospitality, which was a real shame for a 4 star hotel"

"My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. The room was nice and clean. It had all the amenities we needed. What made this hotel extra special was the staff. They were all extremely helpful and caring. The front desk manager, named Marc, was especially nice and accommodating to our every need. If we ever come back to Madrid Centro, this is where we’ll be staying."

"Very convenient location for walking to many shops and bars and restaurants. Even Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts one block away Staff was young, spoke English and very helpful. Loved our location with a small balcony overlooking the street. The windows and shutters did an amazing job blocking out street noise and lights. Minor problems: not much overall good lighting. We couldn't figure out how to turn on the bedside lights--there was a switch on the bottom of the bed along with a switch on the light itself. The outlet under the bed was not adhered properly--looked like it got kicked in by someone. The remote had one battery so I had to exchange for another one. The thermostat couldn't be changed from 20 degrees. Liked the upstairs access--water and coffee. A place to sit outside of the hotel room. Nice idea since there was nothing on the first floor except the lobby desk. Overall, everyone says Madrid is easy to use public transportation. The bus routes were confusing and there was little help to take the correct one. We wouldn't even try the Metro. The taxis are available but we paid one price in one direction, then the other direction 5 euros was added to the price. Not certain why. We walked through the tent camp of the protesters and did not feel intimidated. Good to see young folks getting involved. Glad we missed the rain."
