“This seems to be a newly built or renovated hotel from top to bottom. The room and bathroom was small but clean and the bed was comfortable. There is no air conditioning in the room but due to the Bogota weather, the room was not overly warm. The hotel is within walking distance to a bakery, supermarket, pizza place and other eateries.
The hotel parking garage is extremely small and fits 5 to 6 vehicles but unless you are the last one to arrive, you must wait for the other vehicles to be moved...
“I arrived at La Colina thinking I had booked a regular hotel, and I was so pleasantly surprised to discover something much more special. This is a beautiful family home with a spectacular restaurant, and the level of personal attention and care made me feel truly welcomed and indulged.
Carmen was absolutely wonderful—attentive to everything I needed, from my room to every meal, and she made my stay feel effortless. Federico, the owner, and his wife were equally warm and attentive.
And the...
“Ok the good: it’s clean, quiet, and no one will bother you. If you have business in this part of town (Usaquén) or at the big hospital, Pepe’s is well placed. Check-in is easy.
The not-so-good: The exterior code -locks are a little hard to find, and the code hasn’t changed in 6 months. No trash bin in the room except for a teeny one in the bathroom. Insecure door locks. The room was freezing cold, and there are no heaters. The TV wasn’t set up so it took 30 minutes of screwing...
“During my stay, I had a conflict with an Uber driver. However, the female staff member at the reception did not attempt to mediate the situation. Instead of maintaining a neutral stance as she should have, she expressed an attitude that blamed me, the guest. I also felt a slight sense of racial discrimination. Staff attitude training is necessary, and guests should be treated with more respect.”
