"Quiet and fantastic location: 1-night stay! Check-in / Check out was fast and friendly. The room was spotless, modern, and the bed was incredibly comfortable—perfect for a quick recharge. I didn't avail of the breakfast anyway because of my timeline. But I Highly recommend! "

"We got a handicap bathroom without requesting it instead of shower is difficult. And the air conditioner would fall to 58° no matter what it was set on at night."

"Staff was very friendly which eased the frustrations we encountered. The card to open the room failed several times which made us have to return to the front desk to fix it each time taking the very slow elevator. The shower curtain rod in the bathroom was installed too high for the curtain so the floor became very wet with each use. The mirror in the bathroom had no light, only one light on the ceiling, very dim for applying make up. No hooks in the bathroom for used towels or toiletries bag, awkward, everything had to pile on the vanity. Randomly got uncomfortably hot in the room in middle of the night despite a/c being set to cold auto 68. Used Expedia to specifically book a two king room for our four adults but when we got there we were put in a one king room. Staff fixed it but frustrating. Never had quite so many hiccups in one stay. I got the feeling the front desk lady had to do everything there, spread thin. She was very nice and tried to make sure everything was fixed. She put us in a bigger room than I originally booked at no charge so we appreciated that. Very spacious and other than the quirks of the bathroom, it was a comfortable , clean room, reasonably comfortable beds. "

"Breakfast was very nice. The elevator was out which was very inconvenient with a 4th floor room. The hotel staff apologized and the General Manager (Amanda) did a terrific job of making it right. Staff was very polite and responsive!"

"We stayed in the Elwood suite which had its charm but wasn't without a sticky mess on the booth of the dinner table and another on a smaller sitting stool in the bathroom. Right at check in the employee who greeted us was anti eye contact and was more worried about finishing up his required spiel than actually assisting. Or informing us of anything. There is not really a spa in the hotel. It is a short walk across the street and through a parking lot. Entering the old building there is no direction and dark. Likely to turn you away out of fear or concern just to return to the front desk for help. It didn't help that twice we were reminded by others that this building was recently section 8 housing and a drug hotspot. The floors are all bare concrete with small rugs every so often. The plants are all fake that we could tell. This hotel is far from luxury and far from what they portray through marketing. The room was 300 dollars and the amenities were something out of a crappy highway side motel. Just stay somewhere else because they are not what they represent themselves as. Hospitality? Barely on a good day."
