The night we checked in the staff did not make eye contact and seemed annoyed we were there. They were laughing and talking with each other and then when they turned back to us, expressionless and just pointing at the credit card machine. So rude. I'm also aware that they did not explain how the elevators worked to many people staying there because we showed about half the people we were in the elevators with how they worked, after people had already missed their floors. When we checked out the desk guy seemed annoyed that I stated that I was there to check out and simply pointed at the room key box. Terrible service. The room was very dark, not impressively clean, no utensils at all, even disposable, to actually be able to use the kitchenette. The towels were very cheap, thin, and not soft. The sheets were put on the bed sideways and the blankets were quite thin. There was a bug hopping around on the bed. No continental breakfast or even coffee service. I will never, ever stay there or at any other Hilton garden inn again.

Great place to stay in downtown. Everything is good about this place except few suggestions 1. Shower water flow can be better 2. Curtains could not make room dark at night 3. A/C is very noisy

It’s the one spot where everything is convenient to get to. Subways station is just outside. Bars and restaurants are easy to walk to. My only negative is that I had to pay close to $70 a day to keep my car parked in their garage. I understand it’s a Hotel/ Casino parking garage and it’s open to the public but if I’m a hotel guest, I shouldn’t have to pay what a non hotel guest pays. They need to fix that!

Staff was not good. Too many front desk employees standing around while we waited in a line to be checked in. Front staff told us that they only clean rooms for more than 4 days stay. However, a sticker on the bathroom mirror stated every other day. WTH!?!

This hotel was in a great location , close to restaurants , shopping and all of the sights. It was safe. I would highly recommend and will return for my next visit to Chicago.

The Hilton lived up to my expectations! It was clean, quiet, and very conveniently located. There were stores nearby for snacks and lots of restaurants. We even checked out Howl at the Moon, a dueling piano bar nearby that was lots of fun. I would absolutely stay at this Hilton again if in Chicago for theater and sightseeing. Tip" If you want to see Mama Mia, you can go to the theater when it opens at either 10 Am or noon, and they sell the remaining tickets for $49. We ended up with 3 row center orchestra tickets for the matinee!

On our day of checkout....while i understand thst this hotel is "in the city"....SERIOUSLY....I saw a cockroach that was equally as fat as it was long. I called the Hilton Customer Service to advise what I saw....and suggested a good case of an exterminator would be beneficial. Also...the floor undervthe bathtub seemed "soggy" so just some modern maintenence would be a good idea.

This is our second time staying at this hotel. The first was in November 2022. It is a very convenient hotel and walking distant to everything we wanted to do. Additionally, the train is right at the hotel location.

The room was very loud…everything from the ac running, ice machine across the hall and people walking/talking in the hallway. Front desk staff was friendly.

The cleaner smell in the lobby was very strong. It was not pleasent to walk through each time to go in and out. Vending machines on floors would be nice to have as well. Overall not a bad place and the price was fair. It was a little 'older' feeling but was not bad.

I had 3 interactions with front desk staff and all 3 left me feeling like I was an inconvenience to them. First: when checking in I was waiting for clerk to type when my phone rang, I answered it and said, "sorry I cannot talk I am checking in," and I immediately hung up. Without one word the clerk slid the key to me, and turned his back on me and did not reply when I said, "excuse me I have questions." (He walked away so I never got my answers). I get it is rude of me to answer a phone, but I was really quick. The next day my son asked at front desk about the parking. He was told the front desk has nothing to do with parking (despite signs everywhere saying to validate there). Fortunately a bellboy helped us. The last day I asked about late check out and the front desk clerk laughed and said "no, just no." I get late check-out is not always possible, so it was not the words, as much as the way it was said. So despite a nice property, the front desk staff did not feel welcoming.

Prime property, my greatest and biggest complaint stems from their obvious cost cuts i.e., house services. We had a simple two day stay, and I was disappointed that our room was nit serviced. We did not expect that our bed sheets were not chnged and no bath towels replaced, yet the cost remains the same.
