The owners were very accommodating to our truck parking and our dogs. She warned us the last room (one of the dog options) was very loud because of traffic, honestly I think most rooms will hear traffic, we were second room in and definitely did. The AC basically runs constantly (one of those loud hotel AC units) so that took care of traffic noise, but if you can’t sleep with background noise it would be rough. Again, the staff was great, room was clean- shower could use a deep clean. But it was ok for a quick overnight.

Older motel, but well maintained.

Older motel, but well maintained. I found the room to be clean. It was rather small, but everything worked. Friendly staff with nice kids play area out front. Would stay again.

It is an older motel, but dont let that fool you! The owners are a very sweet couple, they are in the process of doing renovations, so there is work going on. The room was extremely clean, reasonably priced, the beds were comfortable and the owners were were very sweet and very accomodating.

The motel is old but is under new ownership. They are renovating all the rooms and the property. The rooms are very clean and the staff helpful. This is a good 1 night stop over for now. It should be much better when renovations are complete.

Older motel that was remodeled somewhat. Mostly clean room, some more care needs to be taken on walls and floors. Bed was OK, but a person with back issues would probably not feel good in the morning. Extremely friendly and helpful woman checked me in and was a great example of Texas hospitality and I want to give her props for being such a delightful person. But the “continental breakfast” in the morning … I didn’t expect much but this was pretty ridiculous. It wasn’t the stale grocery store muffins or cereal that looked like it had been there a long time that brought my score down. It was the coffee. A pot of coffee on the coffee maker with the heating element turned on was ice cold. I don’t mean not hot, I mean cold. When I summoned some help at the front desk using the bell, a disheveled young woman appeared and explained that someone shut off the heating element and she was heating it back up. It was 730 am. I told her that was not going to work and she needed to make another pot. She didn’t act like that was something she was going to do and just shrugged. Even if someone had turned it off, a pot of coffee made even as early as 6:00 am, there’s no way it would have been that cold by 7:30. Wanna bet it was yesterday’s coffee and they are too cheap (or lazy) to start another pot?? I hope the owners see this review and do some “retraining” on customer service. Over $100 a night and yesterday’s coffee …

This is an old-school vintage motor lodge to stop at for the night. Nothing fancy at all but perfectly adequate to get a good night's sleep. There are two options in Clarendon and the other one I'm sure is much more modern and corporate-chain comfortable, but it's twice the price so I will always choose this option when I stop here overnight.

The room I had was off to the side and not a standard room, but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower faucet was short and the fixtures were old, but the pressure and hot water were nice. There were a few broken tiles in the bathroom, but it was clean. Nice room to just sleep and clean up after driving.
