The villa was very pretty and the views of the hotel to beach her beautiful. The small fault that the Hotel had was the cleaning of the bathrooms could be a bit better but other than that nothing to bad what makes us stay five star stay is the hospitality from its workers. They were extremely accommodating to any requests and did their best at all times to make Our stay special.

The Garten hotel was very comfortable with amazing food, service and views. We love the boutique hotel vibe with 5 star service. The proximity to the beach was amazing. We would definately stay here again and would recommend to anyone going to El Salvador.

This hotel was amazing! The room was beautiful and the service was exceptional. They brought food to your room quickly and whenever you wanted. The location was right by the beach.

We love Garten Zonte! Comfortable large room, delicious food, good drinks, stunning pool with ocean views, staff is ready for any requests and delivers quickly with a smile and always so friendly. The beach below is spectacular. The resident parakeet Pistachio completely made my day flying on my shoulder and giving me a smooch!!! We can’t wait to return for our wedding on the rooftop patio next year:)

Must try deliicious ceviche caribeno and passion fruit mojitos!! Access to quiet black sand beach directly down set of stairs. Hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly.

The hotel is very nice. Hospitality was generally great. The service for the restaurant was hit or miss, depending on the employees working that day. But any service involving our room was excellent. Keep in mind that there is a lot of construction surrounding the hotel as the area is starting to grow. That's not the hotel's fault and it's temporary, but it did get loud at times. Overall, one of the better spots to stay in El Zonte.

Just What I Needed

The Garten Hotel was just what I needed. My room was nice and spacious, clean. This hotel is right on a beautiful black sand beach(not rocky either). I loved the al fresco dining. The staff was amazing. I wanted to workout in their gym, and one of the receptionists walked me over to the gym, since it was located on the sister property(the villas) to show me exactly where it was. Food and drinks were good . It was quiet and relaxing, which I loved. I will definitely stay here again.

Only four rooms, as far as I could tell, so service was attentive. A lovely pool and bar with a view over the ocean. Beautifully presented drinks. Breakfast was excellent, dinner was so-so. The beach is down a flight of steps and it's the best way to get to the rest of El Zonte. I was very happy there and will be back.

Stayed in Villas with our family. Loved the service, rooms and the amenities. The beach was absolutely beautiful. We could see both sunrise and sunset from the beach. The food at the hotel restaurant was good. We could also walk around the area and grab food. We walked in the area late night and it was so safe. Some of us learnt surfing and loved it.

I really enjoyed with my family staying at this hotel the only thing I didn’t like was that when I did the reservation the hotel information made it sound Iike the hotel room had a sea view and that it was accessible to the beach easily we took my 75 years old mom and to get to the beach from the Garten hotel is 75 stairs down from the pool area just to consider is your have health issues but other than ghat the hotel is great

Perfect Escape in El Zonte

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Garten Hotel in El Zonte, and it was nothing short of a dream. From the moment we arrived, I knew we had chosen the right place for a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway. The villa itself is beautifully designed, blending modern luxury with the natural beauty of El Salvador. The spacious open-plan living area is flooded with light, thanks to large windows that offer stunning views of the lush surroundings. Whether you’re lounging inside or relaxing on the terrace, the sound of the waves in the distance is incredibly soothing. One of the highlights of the villa is the private pool, which was the perfect place to cool off after a day exploring the nearby beaches. Speaking of which, the villa is just a short walk from the pristine surf breaks that El Zonte is famous for. If you're into surfing or just love the ocean, this location is ideal. The kitchen is fully equipped with top-notch appliances. We also had access to a lovely outdoor dining area, perfect for enjoying meals while taking in the incredible sunsets. What truly made the stay special, however, was the hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home, offering local tips and ensuring our stay was as comfortable as possible. Overall, Garten Hotel in El Zonte exceeded all expectations. Whether you're looking for a romantic escape, a family vacation, or a surf trip with friends, this villa is a hidden gem.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Garten! The villa was absolutely wonderful — beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean, and incredibly comfortable. It even had a private pool, which was a great bonus and made our stay feel extra special. It was definitely worth every penny. Although the villa was located a few meters from the main hotel, transportation was never an issue — they provided a shuttle at any time, and all we had to do was send a quick text. Super convenient! We had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, and it was a highlight of our trip. My husband and kids enjoyed it just as much as I did. The drinks were delicious — we had a Mojito and the Passion Fruit Margarita, both perfectly made. Our kids loved their Blue Lagoon mocktails! To start, we had the Sashimi, which was fresh and flavorful. For the main course, we ordered the Pulpo a la Parrilla, La Gran Mariscada, and Camarones al Curry — every dish was outstanding, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. We loved our experience so much that we ended up booking an extra night. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

This was 1 of 4 properties that we stayed at during our trip to El Salvador. It was absolutely perfect in all ways. The room is very spacious and beautifully furnished. The air conditioning kept our room very cool. The bed is slightly firmer than I prefer but still slept well. There is a stocked mini bar and Netflix available on the tv. The poolside bar was where we spent many funds. Alexander the bartender served us with a smile and even allowed me to play Sofi Tukker while we were there on the speakers surrounding the pool. The pool is pristine and the perfect temperature and there are big 4 poster lounging beds available for when not in the water. There is beach access stairs and a little shower/foot wash station where you can rinse off the black sand. The very best room is room 5 and was unavailable but is where I’d like to stay next time. If I come back year, I’m going to request that room for sure. I can not say enough good things about this property and felt completely safe and welcome here. Other staff worth mentioning were Julio and Carlos. They always greeted with a smile and were very accommodating. Property is only about 13 minutes by Uber for only like $6 from El Tunco beach if you want some local flavor.
