"Helpful staff, always on hand to assist with queries, luggage and umbrella! We had a Junior Suite which had a lot of room and great en suite. The only downside was that the sauna was not available. Located next to New World City with access via the hotel and ideally situated for Nanjjng Road and shopping. The Sky Dome Bar has excellent views. Highly recommended!"

"A lovely hotel within walking distance to Wuning Road metro station and convenient stores,a pharmacy and restaurants nearby. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. They went above and beyond to assist me order food on the app to be delivered to the hotel. They hotel also offer airport transfer but I used the metro as I want still sight-seeing. The room was extremely comfortable and offered multiples light settings based on your preference. The AC was strong and the multimedia sevice was great. I am pleased with this hotel as I changed hotel last minute to this hotel as I was not satisfied with another hotel I booked across the city. I would recommend this hotel to everyone and would stay here everytime i come to Shanghai! Thank you for a wonderful stay!"
River House Near Peoples Square And The Bund

"First and foremost, the staff were all so helpful. Simon and Vivian communucate in English, and Ken also speaks proficiently. They were so hopeful and kind, and responded in a very timely manner. The room we had was the best. We had two rooms, one was a living room turned into a bedroom that opens into the kitchen area, and then there was another bedroom on that has the ensuite bathroom. This worked perfectly for me and my son. Both rooms have a massive picture windows that face towards The Bund, and that literally made the whole trip. It's beautiful at night when the sky lights up, even on a stormy night. The nearest Metro is a bit of a walk, but we are from New York City and we are used to walking. If you are not much of a walker then maybe this location isn't for you. But you can also access bikes easily, or you can get a cab using Didi, and it is very affordable. The Metro station is very quiet and not crowded, but you can access it to one station People's Square, which is very bustling, and you can access trains to take you all over. This is the equivalent of an Airbnb in the United States, however, they do have someone come change out your towels and take your garbage and bring you water, if you so choose. I loved our stay and definitely would recommend it and return."

"We were really excited to stay at Mandarin Oriental Shanghai, and it more than lived up to our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the care and service from the staff were exceptional. Our room was huge, beautifully presented and had the most incredible views across the city and the Huangpu River — a view we’ll genuinely never forget. Every day we returned to find the room serviced immaculately, with an impressive level of attention to detail throughout our stay. For a hotel of this standard, we also thought the value for money was outstanding. Everything about the experience felt genuinely five-star, from the room itself to the warmth and professionalism of the staff. It was a fabulous stay from start to finish, and we would return to Mandarin Oriental Shanghai in a heartbeat."
