“I chose the Kings Arms for location and the olde worlde look of the rooms on their website. The location was perfect for our trip, however the hotel was not! Check in is at the bar - all ok. We were told no food being served on Friday night despite the website showing a bar b que style restaurant (the hotel info in the room said pizza but there was neither) They offered recommendations but we found our own. Also told no breakfast available, same story, we found our own. We were walked outside to...

“Very well located and easy access to the property. We asked to change rooms as we had to have the window open due to hot weather on the busy road and we were immediately offered a room at the back. Continental breakfast was a nice touch. Would definitely recommended a stay here.”

“Richard was an amazing host and was very welcoming. I would stay again! The view was amazing from our bedroom and bathroom, and breakfast was delicious. Richard really made us feel arlt home.”

“It needs a crib sheet in each room telling of breakfast times, emergency tel no's etc. The room was very dark. Bathroom OK but would benefit from some shelves to put toiletries on etc. Breakfasts were very good with a wide choice. Dining in was v good but we felt overpriced. The whole experience was good but felt at £180 it represnted poor value.”

“On arriving the property was very difficult to find and when l did find it my room was occupied by someone else. I was given the room next-door which was dark and unwelcoming. Neither the room or the surroundings were as advertised, photos were totally misleading. I was absolutely discussed by the level of cleanliness and left immediately finding myself having to find somewhere else to stay at 8.30 in the evening and £364 out of pocket. Will not be using Expedia ever again!!”

“The room was adequate for our overnight stay. The shower was really good and all the basic usual were there. The welcome from Nadine was excellent as well as the rest of the staff. We really enjoyed the breakfast, thank you Chef. Overall the Linden Tree is a good, basic stopover, especially if staying overnight after watching the Cherry and Whites.”
