"I loved the resort. Our room had a broken TV and the main bedroom was hotter than the other rooms.
I bought four of my grandkids down for a short vacation, it was a family oriented experience."
"This was our second stay with Sonesta Hilton Head. We love this property and the calmness it inspires. The majority of our interaction with staff is excellent and helpful. Amenities are set up well.
Our only suggestions are related to pets and beach rules. We are dog people so we give a little grace. Perhaps the resort can place dog/animal rooms together on the first floor? We had a neighbor with a barking dog at all hours. It was not very respectful on the owner’s part. The other suggestion is to ban pop-up tents, inflatable tents, and those dang Shaboomies on the beach. Or create a ‘tent zone’ behind chairs & umbrellas. We rented chairs and umbrella from the beach service and people would find a space directly blocking our view and put up tents. Later, as the tide rolled out, they would set up walls of Shaboomies and tents in the tidal flat, blocking even more views. Hilton Head should make it a law/policy to have designated areas or ban all together. It was visually disappointing and people were lacking etiquette. Unfortunately, this will determine our future decisions where to spend beach vacations. We hope Sonesta develops a plan to address these things soon. The resort still deserves an “A.”"
"So this property has 2 towers. The Palmetto tower and the “other one.” I was very disappointed when I learned the Palmetto tower wasn’t ours ( because it was much nicer and had the pool table, bigger pool, ping pong table, cafe, Starbucks, and tiny gift shop). You could use the amenities in the Palmetto tower, you just had to walk over there. Everyone was nice and helpful Except a man that always seemed to be working on our (my daughter and I) hall. He flirted with me saying that I was Drop dead gorgeous and spoke like that every time I walked by, then the last day when I wasn’t around, he spoke to my 17 yr old daughter like that and I really didn’t appreciate that. All and all, it was ok."
