The Ellie Beach Resort Myrtle Beach, Tapestry By Hilton
8/10 Good
"Hotel is nicely renovated and boasts amazing amenities like adult pool, water slide, lazy river and miniature golf. Only negative is the parking is limited due to non-hotel guests taking up the parking lot and a charge to park added to the bill."
"This is our second time staying at the Francis Marion and both times have been excellent. Room and hotel lobby are always clean and the staff is super friendly and helpful. We have enjoyed happy hour at the restaurant bar and there is always a great atmosphere. The location and history of the hotel are wonderful and everything is within walking distance. The concierge desk was wonderful in assisting us with finding things to do to try and beat the heat during a heat wave and made this trip better than the last. I highly recommend this hotel for a weekend away in Charleston."
"The staff were extremely helpful and professional. This was our second time staying at this property and the resort did not disappoint. Great family vacation."
"Our family stays at the Dunes Village every year and have for many years. We appreciate that we can get a two or three bedroom apartment. We love the laundry located in the room. This year, the two bedroom apartment that we stayed in looked as though it was freshly painted. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are large. We appreciate having a coffee shop serving Starbucks on the premises. We eat at the Captain's Cafe at least once every visit. We spend a lot of time at the lazy river when not on the beach. Everything is so convenient."
"The hotel was nice, our kids loved the water park and the location was wonderful. Being across from the beach was perfect! The staff wasn’t as nice as I expected. Overall for the money and location it was great."
"Overall me and my husband stay was good, we had a couple of problems with our sheets but they were on top of that, didn’t know about the resort fee but being we had a issue with our sheets they waved our resort fee and I didn’t know why we paid 2 fees for booking and again at the hotel? So I need to look into that because I needed my resort fee returned from Expedia as well for my inconvenience. I would advise that the elevator stayed wet and keep your shoes on in the elevator. Overall the front desk staff was very friendly and extremely helpful, also shout out to the young man who brought new sheets to the room they were very attentive to our needs."
"We really enjoyed the beach access and oceanfront room view. Room was clean and they exchanged towels and took trash every day we were there. Our AC worked great. The chairs and umbrellas they place on the beach every day are for rent and not part of the hotel room. We didn't see any signage about needing to rent them and sat in a couple one morning. The guy was nice about letting us know, but some signage would have eliminated the awkwardness of the situation. We were there Sunday to Thursday and it was busy in pool areas but not unbearably crowded."
