This hotel needs a real uplift before they welcome more residents. Standouts are: - No heating in room - Mould in the bathroom - Stains all over the carpet - Lack of electrical points in room - Poor lighting in the room - Rust on gym equipment - Black mould and grime around swimming pool. - Damp smell walking around hotel - Lack of maintenance and generally run down Positives: - Nice breakfast and particularly liked the fried eggs - Very friendly staff; Chloe in particular.

This was our second time staying at Penmere Manor. The staff are always really friendly, helpful and attentive, and the restaurant offers a good selection of meals at reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

A lovely short break
A very good stay, the hotel is well located for driving into Falmouth as well as further afield. Some signs of wear and tear but generally a good hotel. The breakfast was really good and we used the pool and sauna which were great. We really enjoyed our time here.

Great staff and lovely location
A beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. A friendly welcome, the rooms were good sized and had all the amenities including a hair dryer and TV and free tea/coffee and biscuits. The bathroom was also a good size and had bath and shower and free toiletries. Its clear the hotel could do with updating the rooms and a coat of fresh paint as well, but it was comfortable enough and suited as a base for the break. The food in the restraint was delicious. We had an evening meal and the prices were good and the food exceptional. We had excellent service from Will the waiter and very much enjoyed our evening. Breakfast was included and there were good options, from cereal to croissant to a full English or salmon and egg etc. Would recommend this hotel.

Service was great and hotel it self is a nice building but was very dated and dusty there was paint peeling and spots of mould,we stayed in a room and the top of the stairs (33) and felt there wasn't much privacy could here everything going on in the hotel.

This is a great place for an overnight stay in Falmouth. Buffet breakfast was pretty good, but could have done with some fresh pastries. Other than that, it was really good. I'm more used to Hiltons these days so the olde world charms of a local hotel was a nice change. Overall pretty good.

Would stay again, but want a different room
The negatives were that the shower in my room was like a dribbling tap and the wall to the next room was paper thin, you could hear everything, and I mean everything! The positives were that the room was clean and comfortable, the staff were great, really friendly and helpful and the breakfast and evening meal was really nice and all at a good price. I will definitely stay again as I'm expecting my trips to be more frequent, I would ask for a quieter room and better shower though. A big thank you to all the staff.

University visit
Family stay while attending the open day at Falmouth University. Staff were fantastic, hard working polite and friendly. The hotel has seen better days but was clean and comfortable. Breakfast really good

Friendly staff, large clean room with comfy bed and powerdul warm shower, good pool temperature, nice small gym and ample breakfast choice. Yes property is a litle dated and needs updating, but we had an enjoyable stay.

Short stay, will return
Friendly staff, clean, comfortable. Grounds and building impressive. Nice to have the leisure club attached. Pool is big enough to get some lengths in and a nice temperature. The gym is small but equipped with most things you'll want. The restaurant was excellent, food was great and the staff were friendly and attentive.

Proper Job. Brilliant Hotel
From arrival to leaving the hotel everything was tip top. Recommend to everybody with children or on their own. Clean, efficient, pool, sauna, jacuzi, good breakfast. Everything was good.

The staff is very kind and warm. The rooms are very spacious. However the rooms, the entire property is quite dated.I think, once it’s renovated and redecorated it will be an excellent place to stay.

August family holiday in Falmouth.
Nice hotel staff, located in a residential location. You need to drive to get to Falmouth beach. Hotel felt a little run down and in need of repair. Even though it was advertised as Internet in room, the router was too far away from our room to get internet. Limited menu options in the restaurant. Breakfast was good but again limted in options. We didnt get a chance to use the swimming pool or gym.

Very night areas, beautiful garden all around. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. Beds were comfortable with fresh linens. The dinning room was very nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful

Happy to stay again
Lovely period hotel, the pool area needs attention, tiles missing in pool, steps down badly cracked, but nevertheless useable. We stayed in room 23 which has a false window, that has frosted glass and overlooks the hallway. Unfortunately the hall lights are left on all night, a given there was only a blind, did not make the room dark, perhaps a pair of curtains would help. Staff were lovely, both reception and young man waiting on Sunday evening. Beautiful well kept grounds and enough pluses that we have booked again. Our comments are constructive criticism, and no malice is intended.

As other reviews have said, some parts of the hotel are a little dated. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the food is excellent as are the staff.
