Lovely little touches like earplugs (yes the church clock chimes through the night, I didn’t hear it but my husband did), make up remover pads and shower caps. Lovely breakfast cooked to order. Super friendly people, and the communal fridge under the stairs with milk and juices to help yourself to is a really thoughtful addition. ”

“We had a lovely stay in the George. A wonderful warm welcome and a lovely spacious room. All the staff were friendly and so helpful and attentive. We don't have a dog but there were well behaved dogs there. Excellent value for money. A short walk to the seafront and the town centre. ”

Ate two nights in the bar/restaurant, staff very good, food lovely, excellent selection for gluten free which was amazing to experience. There were lots of little touches that added to our good experience-including welcome bags for each dog and more than adequate continental breakfast. We would highly recommend a d stay again. “Absolutely loved our weekend at the Dower House! Amazing location surrounded by nature, the building is so beautiful and our room was huge and had every comfort. All the things you don't find in chain hotels are here - four poster bed, comfy sofa, coffee table and chairs sat amongst a wonderful backdrop, dark and quiet at night for a great sleep. And not to forget the amazing and genuine owners, Tim and Rosemarie, and Teresa who served a great breakfast ”
