“The staff were polite and friendly, especially the young lady who ran through our room facilities. The car park at the rear was a bonus to be off the main road. The room was generally very clean, just some stains on part of the showers grout and dust behind the bed. The room was warm and comfortable with a set of drawers as a wardrobe wouldn't fit. “While I appreciate this is a historic and therefore old property, which is what attracted us to book, the building could do with some tlc. The outside of the building windows looked dreadful and need repainting, particularly back of the building overlooking the car park. The inside walls up the stairs and in corridors need painting. It needs a refresh as it is looking tired inside. Having said that we enjoyed our stay and had a very good time. We would stay again.”

“The staff were very friendly on arrival however there were some miscommunication and we were left for half an hour waiting to be checked in whilst we were missing the wedding which we questioned, the room was okay, quite small and basic but no issues, unfortunately there were skid marks in the toilet from someone else which then made us question the cleanliness, the light had a sensor in the bathroom and it kept going on and off during the night making a clicking noise which was quite annoying. ”

“I think its very over priced for what it is. Feels like the rooms need an update. There was no dressing table i had to sit on the floor to use the wardrobe mirror. Pillows too soft. Food in the james martin grill was poor very disappointing. Felt a bit let down as it was a treat for my husbands birthday and our anniversary. ”

“The hotel is located near the Moreton-in-the-Marsh train station, which makes it very convenient to access for travelers without cars. I found the staffs kind, and the library on the first floor is nice and cozy. The room itself is a bit small and the TV didn't work, but I didn't mind too much. I'd visit the hotel again”

“I arrived just before 6pm to find my room wasn’t ready, so I waited in the bar. When I finally got in, the room was okay but lacked basic in‑room amenities—there were no cups or kettle, as these are kept in a separate kitchen, which was sparsely stocked. Although I knew the bathroom was shared, I was surprised there was no sink in the room. There were also cobwebs that hadn’t been cleaned, and the door didn’t feel secure; it kept banging in the wind overnight until I wedged it shut. Breakfast...
