โreally lovely cute little hotel, 5 min walk from west runton beach and not far from both sheringham and cromer. Really cute area! Lovely room stocked with snacks and breakfast! โ
โNice and clean, well decorated but small. Very noisy road, and very hot throughout our stay. As the inside temperature never dropped below 24 degrees (19th to 24th June), we tried to leave bedroom windows open at night, but only did so for an hour on the first night, as there is so much traffic for most of the night, roaring up and down, so not had a lot of sleep. Took coffee bags with us as no coffee maker, as per previous reviews. Power shower was pretty weak but sufficed. Very small...
โThe owner Phil welcomed us on the first day. He was totally amazing. The lodge was lovely. We were originally booked into Willow but had to change to Briar as there was a flood in Willow before we arrived. Dee Dee ensured we still had use of the hot tub which was lovely. The swimming pool is very large and you can book alone time in there which is nice. Excellent breakfast . Love the lodges in forest setting. So lovely. Nice fixtures and fittings. Excellent walk in shower. TV with three...
โThe hotel had a bit of character and was well located for access to the coast and nearby sights. Our room was large and comfortable with a table and chairs, plenty of storage space. The grounds were a good size, well maintained and great for sitting outside. Dinner was very good in a conservatory dining room. Staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful, happy to chat and offer advice on places to visit and things to do. A very enjoyable short stay โ
โWe were made to feel very welcome. The food is excellent, local suppliers clearly listed. Extensive wine list.
Outside area for drinks and dinner is attractive.
Very friendly staff
Weโll definitely stay here again next time weโre in the area. โ
โ Very convenient for walking into Sheringham and connecting with North Norfolk amenities by train or bus, easy to get to the beach or stroll through the townโ
โThe hotel is a relaxing place to stay. The room was very comfortable and the restaurant was a pleasing place to eat. The food was excellent and plenty of dishes to choose from.โ
โCaravan was spotlessly clean. The addition of tea coffee milk wash up liquid etc very handy.
Beds very comfortable. Everything in the van looked brand new. So quiet. Will definitely be booking a return with friends and family. Beach was a stones throw and so nice. โ
โNear blickling hall. Good food. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Nice walks. We made use of a NT Explorer 4 day pass. Lots to do around blickling hall. Free parking.โ
โSuper friendly, helpful staff who made us feel very welcome. Beautiful location. Dog friendly and convenient for walks from the hotel with access to Sheringham Park. The food was excellent, but not always consistent - I had sea bass on one day which was so delicious (and as described in the menu) that I decided to have it again on my last night, but it was no where near as good - missing the chives in the mash, the dill sauce on the fish and not served with peas all as described in the menu....
โThis was one of the most unique places I have ever stayed. A beautiful, well equipped room with a great view of the marshes. We stayed on a Sunday and booked a hamper for tea. It was so delicious! I highly recommend Cley Windmill as a great place to stay in a lovely place\
