โLovely 15th century pub with lots of character and beautiful setting. Family run and they really couldnโt have done any more to help us and make our stay a good one. Food exceptional. โ
โWe stayed in the room with two double beds. Itโs at the top of the hotel so the view was good. Bathroom is surprisingly spacious and fancy! We didnโt eat here so canโt comment on that but plenty of pubs in walking distance.โ
โGreat for Peak District, lively pub with atmospheare...well prepared food at reasonanle prices and nice and quiet after 11 or so.... full breakfast with options. Really enjoyed a one nighr stop and would return whrn next out hiking!โ
โOne night stay was good for what we needed just very dusty , cobwebs everywhere , dust in the air vent in the bathroom , cracks and screws hanging out.
Would stay again as the room is adequate just needs abit of a clean. โ
โAverage stay, tv not receiving signal, boiler broke down, although owner came out to fix within a few hours. Very poor welcome pack (small bottle of milk). No logs or kindling for log burner. View from back of cottage spoilt by messy and junk strewn garden. Nice location with good pubs in village that did good food, just check what days they open.โ
