“Got off to a very poor start and unfortunately things didn’t improve much from there.
We arrived at 2:00 p.m. and were told to come back at 3:30, even though the hotel’s stated check-in time was 3:00. When we returned, the room still wasn’t ready, and we weren’t able to check in until 4:20 p.m.
The biggest issue was that, at check-in, we were unexpectedly charged a $50 “insurance” fee that had never been disclosed by either Expedia or the hotel before our arrival. By that point, it was too...
