“건축가의 명성, 자연주의 느낌 등은 매우 좋지만, 체크인 프런트 직원들은 매우 딱딱하고 사무적이었다. 예약한 대로 호수 전망 방을 달라고 했더니 처음엔 없다고 하더니. 계속 요구하자 나중에는 방을 내주었다. 그래도 미안하다는 말 한 마디 하지 않았다. 세면대와 샤워부스는 물이 배수가 되지 않아서 물 빠지는 데 한참이나 기다려야 했다. 조식과 저녁 식사를 하는 곳 직원들은 매우 친절했다. 스리랑카 여느 호텔방에 비해 비교적 좁아서 답답하고 불편했다. 너무 유명한 호텔이라 호텔 구경을 따로 하는 게 낫지(점심 또는 저녁 식사를 호텔에서 하는 식으로), 다시 호텔에 묵고 싶지는 않다. _ 3박 묵은 후 소감. ”

The banging and the noise was ridiculous and when I went to the front desk at around 11:00 p.m. there was nobody there, no night staff.
