“Beautiful traditional English architecture and features. Really warm staff”

“Bedroom was cold, bathroom was hot. Bed very comfortable, brilliant shower. Bedroom window no blind so very bright. Would stay again as very clean. ”

“We had a lovely stay at the Ramside during our recent trip to Durham. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the facilities were amazing. The spa was lovely and the three restaurants to choose from were all brilliant.”

“I did a last minute booking as I was kicked out from the other inn having they over sold their rooms. Since the late booking, it hasn’t gone through the system, there was a trouble in checking in. Luckily, a male college join in later and helped me to sort out the issue and finally I got a room to stay! ”

“Really peacefull location but to too far shops and bars”

“Staff exceptional, esp Dale and Ashley. They took marvellous and personal care of us. The Castle itself is showing its age. The mattress in our room needs replacing. We had a suite in one of the towers, which was huge, with a massive sitting room, but it was at the very top, only accessible by stairs, so unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. The evening meal and cooked breakfasts were delicious and cooked to order, a rare experience in this day and age.”

“Beautiful elegant spa hotel. Tried both restaurants and was not disappointed. Room was spacious and well appointed. The view across the golf course was lovely. Spa facilities were excellent. ”
