“Hotel is aged but beds were clean and comfy, great blankets. A bit of a stale smell in the room and a bit stinky in the bathroom but pop the windows open and all fixed. Was a comfortable stay and the restaurant downstairs had a great carvery buffet dinner.”

“I liked everything… the staff, the food, the room, the parking. All great!”

“Reading other reviews I was a bit worried about staying here but it was great. I had a huge room with a seaview and big modern bathroom with lovely Scottish toiletries. I thoroughly enjoyed a hot bath after a cold day out on the bike. They have a big indoor room around the back of the hotel where you can store your bike. Huge comfortable bed and the room was comfortably warm. Busy, friendly bar and restaurant and I had a lovely steak pie for dinner. Very much enjoyed my stay here.”

“Sehr zufrieden mit der Unterkunft. Nettes Personal!”

“Brae Lea is far more than one would expect. The location is a short walk to the Ferry Terminal at Lochboisdale - yet driving from the north, you feel as if you’re nestled in the foothills of a mountain (because you are). Rupert is an outstanding host, and he doubles as a 5-Star concierge. He helped us sort travel and touring arrangements as well as made breakfast and suggested dinner options. The Brae Lea accommodations are also top drawer. Clean - efficient - spacious - inviting. Full marks...

“Excellent pod with an amazing view. Room had everything we needed for a lovely stay. Thank you!”

“The room was amazing. The view was spectacular. The bed was really comfortable. I can't fault the place at all. The only downside was the wifi wasn't working and the 4G was down also. This could have been due to the weather but it made communicating with the host difficult but thankfully we had everything we needed and it was only a two day stay.”

“A very nice place run by truly caring people.”

“Great location to see the Butt of Lewis. Rooms were spotlessly clean and well presented and a good choice of food for the evening meal n breakfast. Staff were wonderful and helpful.”

“The twin room is very basic as it states. Just be aware that separate tub and shower actually means one ‘shared bathroom’ with everyone else on the floor. It would be helpful to have the light operable above the sink. It was a very last minute booking due to a ferry cancellation , but it is very close to the ferry terminal. The owner did supply us with a bagged lunch as our departure was very early in the morning which we appreciated very much.”

“The hosts Alex and Katie are a young couple doing a great job running this small boutique hotel! It is is older building however it is well kept up and clean. The rooms are comfortable and provide all necessary amenities. The food in the restaurant is excellent. We would definitely stay here again!”

“The property is very comfortable and of a very high standard and the location is excellent. We enjoyed our stay with only one slight negative being the directions info (provided by hotels.com) was not accurate. I think we were missing some of the email message text. However, a call to the owner quickly resolved that and we had a lovely stay. Would highly recommend.”

“Nice, simple, clean room in Benbecula, South Uist. The innkeeper was very welcoming and friendly. There is a nice hotel restaurant a short walk away from the Hebridian Stay. We would stay here again the next time we visit south/north Uist.”

“The staff are very friendly and helpful and there is a good variety for breakfast. The best part was the location …very convenient.”

“The property was very well maintained. It was in a lovely neighborhood. It was in easy walking distance to the bus stop. The hosts were friendly and helpful”

“This is no ordinary pod. It is beautifully presented with so much thought given to it's furnishing. I didn't expect to find a wine fridge or induction hob, but there they were. The towels are luxurious and the toiletries are classy. There are even pods provided for the Nespresso machine! The fridge is stocked with essentials, and even some non-essential treats. Just as importantly, I was given a proper warm welcome on arrival. I loved my stay here. PS The eggs were delicious.”

“Lovely pod for solo trip. ”
