"Absolutely beautiful hotel that has been carefully restored. Great location in the old town close to many restaurants. I booked a delux double that came with a shared balcony and worth the extra for this balcony area you can sit on. The room was beautifully appointed and very clean. Breakfast was plentiful and the valet parking was a highlight as parking would otherwise have been very difficult. Staff were very professional. "My partner and I stayed in the king suite, Maridin Room. It was a gorgeously appointed room and the hammam themed barhroom was delightful! The real crowning jewel was the palatial terrace. We felt like royalty being able to relax out there looking over the Mesopotamian plains. The staff were very patient and helpful with us using translation apps, as neither of us spoke much Turkish or Kurdish. While few of them spoke any english, we got along without any trouble.
