โExcellent location. Just minutes from Mammoth National Park. We were able to go back and forth to take breaks easily. Super clean and has everything you need to make meals. Laundry on site was very helpful to clean our clothes after hiking, cave tours and kayaking. You have privacy yet you are located close to everything (fast food/Walmart, etc. 15 minutes away). โ
โUpon check in the staff was very friendly! Our room was on the ground level! It was 96 degrees outside and our room was a cool 70! Room was very clean, bathroom was cleaner than some 5 star hotels! I was a little worried as all of the rooms are outside entrance but no problems whatsoever!!
We would definitely stay there again!! Great price for a nice room! โ
โI have a good report, the reasons that follow are why only 4 stars. We had a great time, but our reservation was for a king size bed, we got in our room and it was two queen size, not exactly a way to celebrate a wedding anniversary. We also had a bit of a run around with our dogs. We were told yes, then was reading that we couldn't. We could, hence the need for a king bed. Although our visit was great this wasn't noticed till I checked out that the reservation was correct for the size bed. I...
โThe pool area needed work. Its an indoor pool that needed the AC fixed. It was a sauna in there. Also the bottom of the pool looked like it had mildew on it.โ
โgrade A for what most people would consider a Roach/Kat/Ice motel. there were no fights, and it was very peaceful.
if you're rating them on cleanliness, you already know it's phenomenal: 1/3 of the people working there is top tier in cleanin', and he does a great job.
there is no continental breakfast (they can't take it down), so don't take it out on them because you're cranky. just go get some coffee. It's good, tastes like mcdonalds black, and IYKYK, go get some creamer if from the casey's...
โIt was an overall positive experience. A nice area and not too far from I-65. No complications. A comfortable bed. Couch was a bit hard, but other than that, I would still recommend Horse Cave Motel.โ
โThe bed sheets were not clean. Covered in both human and dog hair. Room was freezing. Looks to be an old converted shed sitting in a concrete pad. It was 5 degrees outside and we had a constant draft through the doors, windows, and cold air emitting straight from the floor. The home is old, which is no issue. There is a difference however between old and old/dirty/unkept. The floor was covered in dead bugs, spiderwebs, and dust. There was someoneโs old food in n the mini fridge. Also, we are...
