โA small group of modern appartments in a rural location with a great pool and stunning views. 20 min walk from village with good restaurants and shops. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Going breakfast available.
The walk back from the village is steep but a taxi was 5 Euros. If you get the exact Google Maps location it is not difficult to find. โ
โStunning property in a newly restored old house. Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed room. The common areas were comfortable and there was a lovely balcony. The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. Canโt recommend highly enough. โ

Die Zimmer waren sehr sorgfรคltig eingerichtet und stets sehr sauber. Wir hatten sogar eine eigene Terrasse mit Aussicht auf den nahegelegenen Berg.
Das Hotel verfรผgt ausserdem รผber zwei Pools. Einer bedeckt und der andere unbedeckt fรผrs perfekte Geniessen der Sonne.
Das Hotel liegt direkt am Dorf Archanes, wo sich das ganze Leben abspielt. Lรคden, gute Restaurant und ein schรถner Marktplatz.

โThis is the first five star review I've ever left for a hotel in Crete. The Lady who liked after us during the stay was amazingly kind, helpful and generous. The property is gorgeous and the apartments are incredibly well furnished & arranged. The pictures do not do them justice. The beach is literally across the road and the town square is a 4 minute walk. Many good restaurants just steps away. This should be on the top of everyone's list of places to stay when visiting Kalamaki.โ
โAlthough there was no front desk, Evi welcomed us at arrival and showed us how to work everything in our room. The rooms are beautifully decorated and each door is named after a tree. The rooms we comfortable with a very deep shower which is separate from the toilet/sink area. The a/c worked well as well as the WiFi. โClean and nice room. Convenient location if you want to be near the airport. You can definitely hear the airplanes overhead when they are using the runway that points toward this hotel, but the night we were at the hotel the airplane noise stopped at a reasonable time, did not start up again until morning, and did not impact our sleep. If I were planning on spending a lot of time in the room during the day or evening, the noise might have gotten annoying. โ
โVery nice and clean hotel! Reception was closed but I got very detailed instructions before arrival on how to retreive my key and find the room. I was also gifted sweets and wine. I loved that the fridge was bigger than usual hotel fridges/minibar. I also got the breakfast, which was served at a nearby cafรฉ, and I got my breakfast served at the table. Very cozy place and everything was tasty! Highly recommend this hotel!โ
