“Loved the setting and the history. Four poster bed . Must do stay (in a castle in Scotland that dates to 1166).. no elevator. Great spacious room with lots of atmosphere. Lovely restaurant and bar. Would come back.”

“The Inn is easy to find with ample parking. My concerns centred on strong, damp like smelly in my room. Curtains that couldn't be closed properly. With the main door not being locked at night, security was very poor. I was woken by a disturbance outside my door during the night it was very unsettling. All these issues might have been easier to raise with staff had they been approachable. It took the duration of the trip for the person at reception to smile and be friendly. Would definitely not...

“We were very impressed with the Conon. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was great and all the food we had was good. Because we had a dog and we like her to accompany us to meals we were asked to us the bar. No problem with this. The dining room looked good. ”

“Location is great. While apt looks fairly recently renovated, housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired. The bathroom fan was broken; the mold and cigarette smoke smell was strong. The bedroom floor was covered with hair. There was no soap in any of three dispensers. Only one kitchen chair. While maintenance was responsive, they could not replace the fan during our stay. The manager did not respond to my text or email. ”

“I pre-booked the hotel weeks before I traveled. The website said that the retreat house had restaurants, lounge, and bar amenities that I thought would be useful for my stay. The restaurant was not opened when we arrived. The bar//lounge had no staff. We asked the only employee we ever saw when the restaurant would be open and she said it’s only open for breakfast. We came downstairs in the morning at 8:30. The sign on the dining room said that breakfast was served at eight to ten. No one to be...
