โGreat find for our visit to Newbury. Breakfast included, 4 options to choose from and served in the pub restaurant. Also ate there both nights, food and service excellent. Room had all you needed, large room plus walk in shower. โ
โWe loved the features throughout the building. The beams, low ceilings, uneven floors...really kept the character of the building. Rooms were nice albeit a bit strange having the shower in the room and not in the ensuite but good use if available space given grade 2 listed building regulations.โ
โA really nice overnight stay and dinner at The Swan / Bel and Dragon. The building is delightful - full of beams and historical atmosphere but very well maintained. The bar was certainly very well patronised and appears popular with locals while most of the 9 rooms appeared to be occupied, based on the numbers at breakfast. โDelightful linens, food, ales, garden... and the staff are wonderful. A hidden gem that is a beautiful getaway easily accessible by car or railroad - or indeed on the Kennet by boat!โ
