“Such a great room, especially with a dog. We had a door straight out in to a lsmall beer garden. Absolutely huge shower & extra large room were great too. Extremely good value room & very quiet. We also ate there on the evening & food was really good, all home made & a cheesecake to die for. We were doing a charity walk nearby at Buttermere on the Sat so it was perfectly positioned for us. Thanks again.”

“Had read good reviews of this hotel, so decided to book and it was great. Was only here 1 night, but would definitely stay again. Bedroom & bathroom clean and comfortable and a nice comfy bed too. Dinner was great as was breakfast next morning. Staff all friendly, welcoming and helpful. Easy parking either in dedicated patron’s car park or on street. Great location for exploring the area and Castle Douglas itself is a nice town with lots of independent businesses and plenty cafes, delis...
