“The food was excellent both at the pub/ restaurant and cafe and the staff were friendly. We have travelled a lot and I’ve never felt so mis-led about a property. The hotel has no access to the lake or the lovely grass yard in front of it. It is almost completely enclosed by a 6ft high fence with “no access” signs all over it that are pretty much what you are looking at. Also, there was no fridge or coffee maker (even tho they roast coffee on site!) in our room and the little store and cafe...

“Rooms were very dated and cleanliness was not at a reasonable standard at all, bed linen was dirty, dust on every surface, walls mouldy and cracked and full of dust. Carpets were dirty with stains and covered in dog hair. Windowsills had dead bugs and dirt on them and beds were very uncomfortable (two single beds pushed together is not a double bed which is what we booked for both rooms) overall it was not a hotel we will be returning to.”

“Loved this property, super affordable and perfect for a stay in Edinburgh. It’s literally right next to the bus into the city. Plus they were able to take our bags a little early which was amazing!”

“I left blood pressure medication that I need for the remainder of 5 weeks in Europe. This medication is not available in Poland. I contacted hotel several times and no one contacted me back… just unbelievable how non-concerned hotel can be when they have your money. Another issue; right outside my window was a full floor of beer garden; noise and partying was everyday until midnight. I”

“To begin with, staff was very helpful and accommodating. The location was right across the beach, was lucky to be there when the heatwave hit, so the location was great for me. The room (no 5) was cosy, had a fan and a fridge and both have been welcomed. Nice toiletries, from my favourite brand. The room was clean, bed was somewhat comfortable, I like hard mattresses. 😅 The room got quite hot when outside were 29 degrees, but the fan did its job. I didn't have breakfast, I don't usually do, but...

“First time i have stopped at this hotel but it will not be the last really pleasant owners and staff lovely big room and on suit bathroom and great breakfast at a nice price. Plus it has it own pub.”

“We travelled all across the Scottish Highland, and this was the best room we stayed. The room we stayed in was huge, and the King size bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was also large and very modern with a large walk-in shower. The pub downstairs was amazing, and so was the restaurant. We can't wait to go back.”

“The cute little room was clean and airy, the bathroom products were fully stocked, and a full hot or cold breakfast is provided. The room is up a set of outside stairs just above the restaurant, which has a nice variety of options on the menu. We enjoyed our stay both on the way to Canna and overnight on the return.”
